Papa Johns Pizza

**Update: although the wait was horrendous, the young lady made the decision to comp. our meal and apologized for the wait. As I suspected in my review below, not entirely the staff's problem. Two employees on a Saturday night and the phone was ringing constantly. They were doing the best they could. Poor management of the franchise. Looking at other reviews, this is not uncommon.** Sat at the window for 40 minutes before we were acknowledged. Order had been ready and we were looking at it on the rack. Line behind us and they started to back out. One of the gentleman who backed out walked in and asked what was going on. The lady told him she didn't have time to go to the window. Not sure that it's the staffs problem. Seems to be poorly managed. The two working were visibly and verbally frustrated. Get it together! We will not be returning.

This is the worst pizza place in the city! The managers don't know simple customer service! They screwed up our order then sent it to the wrong location then would not even admit they were wrong. I have given multiple chances to make it up and everytime it gets worse. The latest thing. I called the manager line today 7/24/23 to redeem a screwed up order. The manager confirmed my correct address before taking the order. I asked to confirm he showed a credit for free items. He said he had 2 accounts and found it. I made a few changes and he said ok we will have it out to you in 45-55 minutes. I said ok thanks. Next I get a call from the driver stating he is trying to deliver but no one is around. They delivered it to another address on my profile! I call the manager back to tell him what happened and this guy said I told him the wrong address! I know you all record the line. I need you to go back and listen to the call. Not one time did he read back the address to confirm except before he took my order! I will take this all the way up! I am done with people thinking they can treat people like this and it is ok. It is not ok.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Online order was placed on a Tuesday evening. Given estimate of 35-45 minutes. No biggie. Tracker system is not accurate at all and no longer shows when driver is en route. After waiting twice what was quoted, tried calling the store numerous times with no answer. Finally at around 8pm(it was due to be there by 7:15), I get a call from the driver that they are severely behind and he was heading out with it soon. It did not arrive until 9pm. This was papa johns 2nd chance. A couple weeks before this my son placed an order and I received a phone call that they were 2 hours behind. So of course we canceled. I complained to corporate this time around and all they offered was free breadsticks on my next visit. The pizzas had obviously been sitting under a warmer for over an hour. I had to reheat them in the oven. They were prepared horribly. Toppings were scarce on one pizza and it was as if they doubled the cheese. We ended up throwing them out they were so gross. I have unsubscribed from all their communications, this store in general is god awful and I will never do business with them again.

Placed order online very early for a 7pm delivery. 745pm comes and no pizza. Called to check on order. Placed on hold twice then was hung up on. Called back several times just to get NO ANSWER. What kind of business ignores a ringing phone!?!? Tried to live chat with Papa John's customer service to be told at 8pm that my order was "Making" at 8pm. An hour after it was to be delivered. Then before I could respond they ended the chat assuming this was resolved?!?! Good grief Papa John's, a little bit of courtesy would go very far. Still no pizza and no idea if it ever will. And yes, my card has already been charged of course. Well done Papa John's...you lost a customer.

Terrible service did a online order didn't get what I ordered very disappointed. Unprofessional staff as well

I ordered Regular crust but got thin crust. It's been a long time since we ate Papa Johns but the flavor was not what we remembered. The quality of food was very poor. Barely any toppings and the crust was soggy. Won't be going back.

Great pizza, but this company does not know how to execute. The CEO should be let go, as I do not think this is entirely franchisee issues. First, when I place my order, I asked if it was a call service and was advised that it is. India. So I asked what the wait time was, but then followed up with how they know the wait time if they are on the other side of the world. Crickets on that one. I asked to be directed to the store, and they transferred me to one that was across town - well outside my delivery zone. (Not like the guy from India would have known). To address my curiosity, I asked the store employee how long the wait time was, just to see if the guy from India was accurate. 70-90 minutes, so he was off by half. The app does not advise you what the wait time it, and it varies from store to store and day to day. So...what does that mean to the average customer. Well, if you are planning to cater to guests, Papa Johns is too risky. You could have people waiting around for food (or worse, hungry kids who decide to raid the pantry instead). If you are ordering on the fly, Papa Johns delivery is too slow. You could always order 90 minutes a head of time - but in my experience, that is when they deliver it on time. So, advice is to do pick-up only. The Pizza is very good - especially the stuffed crust. They should be killing Dominos, but instead they are losing ground on a daily basis. I would be pissed if I owned a franchise or was a stock holder.

don't what you people are bitching about. my pizza is excellent every time for 2 months now...maybe you should get off your lard butts and pick up your pizza if you're not happy with delivery. The pizza is excellent and every employee I've encountered was very friendly. ignore the whiners!

Ordered the works (speciality pizza) through the app and went to pick it up. I waited for almost an hour for my pizza and it still isn't right. Have had multiple bad experiences at this papa johns in the past year of living around the corner. Done with this place.

Stuck in for several days and needed a pizza after seeing the heart shaped Valentine pizza on FB. Too late for Valentine pizza but decided on a hamburger and onion pizza and have it delivered which I never do delivery. Fun guy on the phone with a great cute accent and I had to ask where he was from... which was Italy which made it even more exciting being a pizza place! Delivery took some time and I called several times but in this weather and horrible roads they finally showed up and it was definitely worth the wait!! Recommend!!
