I can't say that I'm a fan of paid highways and especially so when they aren't partners with the transponder systems of other states. I have a North Carolina QuickPass and that works with Georgia's Peach Pass, Florida's SunPass and the huge E-Z Pass Group that covers most of the midwest.There were no signs posted that they accept anything other than cash on the spot. So that meant finding an ATM which I did at a Love's Travel Stop. Annoying as heck!Also, paying cash means slowing down, stopping at the plaza, interacting with a toll taker and then speeding back up. I was passing the same dang trucks over and over. Come on, Oklahoma. Get it together! It's 2021 already - get some transponders up.Next complaint. Pay here, get a ticket, hand over that ticket for a refund or credit at a later stop. What? Yes. There is only the one barrier toll plaza at Stround. If you exit the turnpike before reading the end, the portion traveled for the untraveled potion is refunded. This is weird.Three stars because portions of the Oklahoma Turnpike are 80 mpg speed limit (that's 130 kilometers per hour for everyone else) and wide open smooth roads. Dog shit, unhelpful no signs for cash only and spiteful workers who want to make extra sure you have an awful Oklahoma day. I only hope everyone working here will one day need to pay cash for something and they don't have it...

The oklahoma turnpike authority is a bunch of thrives and basically the mob. You get to pay money to drive on the worst roads that are always under construction but never fixed. They double charge you and send off charges they claim you owe to collectors. The state of oklahoma gets its cut and holds your tag renewal and can even revoke your drivers license if you don't pay up. This is a huge scam and I can't believe everyone is fine with it. Where does our tax money go? How many years are the people going to keep paying these mobsters?

Avoid this toll road if you can. I stopped and paid every toll on my route and one year later my credit card was charged additional toll charges through the rental company. It sure leaves a bad feeling knowing you get double charged when you pay cash.

the woman with the short brown hair who runs the booth is extra hateful and condescending. was super smart with me when. I was confused about what I owed. very sarcastic. then just told me she'd bill me and to have a good day in a VERY snarky tone. acts like she hates her life it may be time for her to find a new career. doesn't take much to be decent to people. especially people who aren't familiar with turnpikes.

If you travel out of state to Texas, don't always assume that the Pikepass they say will work will. It is actually NOT interoperable with ALL of NTTA at least. I just received a bill for almost $32 for 4 transactions that supposedly didn't work, and PikePass is EXTREMELY hesitant to open a dispute with NTTA regarding the incident. 6 transactions in April, and 4 failed. 16 transactions in May and 5 have failed, and I haven't gotten a bill for those yet, so $32 is just the beginning. PikePass is NOT worth it.

The oklahoma turnpike authority should all 7 members be fired. The turnpike from lawton to the texas line has to be one of the top 3 worst roads in america. All the money these losers take in and they cant fix the damn road that has been bad for over 20 years. I hope someone gets killed on that damn road and the family bancrupts okla. No sense in that road being that bad

Recently travelled through and had no option other than PlatePay. What they don't tell you is the increase rate for PlatePay and then the fact that you are automatically charged a late fee because you had to use the service. The late fee was almost equal to the outrageous tolls.They like to believe that every state has an electronic toll system, but they don't. You are forced to utilize the tollway and I could understand paying more, but not paying more plus late fees plus the reporting.

I cannot leave a negative number but would if I could. The very idea that we all pay taxes on the fuel we buy which is supposed to be used to help maintain our nations highways without any accounting is bad enough. Now we have the Sooners charging you tolls to use the same highways that you have already supported monetarily Now let's add insult to injury. The OTA is now doing away with their toll booths and just sending you an invoice in the mail ~ 3 weeks to a month later! Let me know if you remember every road, section of road that you travel in three weeks to a month. Better yet, try calling them and arguing about a charge!A good piece of advise to all who can, stay out of Oklahoma!

Made the mistake of using Kilpatrick Turnpike last year. No toll booths, you either have to sign up for an account with one of their 'partners' and deposit funds into it, or get billed twice the price with plate pay. I expected the bill in a week or so, but got two bills weeks later, with one already having a past due penalty. I sent them a check for just the toll. a few weeks later I get a bill acknowledging the check payment, but doubling the penalty. I sent them letters each time explaining that the penalty was their fault for sending the bill late, and that I refused to pay it. They completely ignore my messages, now they have a debt collector texting my wife saying they wil continue sending her texts. The penalty is now $56.25. I'm not poor but I refuse to pay. I lived in Zambia and Congo for a few years, and am finished paying bribes. if I have to I'll fly or drive 800 miles to OKC and deal with them face-to-face. Maybe they'll listen to me then, stinking crooks. NEVER take a turnpike in OK.
