Scenic old bridge. Definitely go under this, and you'll find some beautiful native grasses, reeds, etc.

First off the two girls that work at this location are hands down the worst. They clearly figured out a way to say I don't care about this job with out actually saying the exact words. If you want to get some attitude from two pissy high school students with buycuts then you found your spot!! Zero customer service. This place sucks!

We wanted to give Riversport our money, but they were too unorganized for the sale. After our experience, I won't be eager to try again.I heavily researched the Riversport site for my daughter's birthday, as we wanted to take a group to the Overholser location. Side note, we heard there are several activities kids can't do at the main downtown location. First off, the website isn't clear on what activities are where, as Riversport claims three locations: Downtown, Hefner, and Overholser. There are also inconsistencies on how much passes run in what locations. When we called the one-and-only number (main downtown location) to ask about Overholser location details (again...claimed on their website), the employee told us they knew nothing about it. We called back a second time referencing their website, and they still claimed they didn't know an Overholser location existed. Internal operations red flag #1.No clear information on the website, no help via phone. We ended up driving some ten-year-olds to the Overholser Boathouse crossing our fingers we could do some activities mentioned on the website. After digging for an address, we drove a half an hour and pulled up to the Overholser boathouse. The area was super impressive, and the boathouse was open with a few people in and out. We were excited and optimistic about the afternoon. When I approached the desk, I asked for day passes, and they said they only offer activities on the weekends (it was a Tuesday). Again - that would have been helpful to learn through their website or the two phone calls. I gave my feedback to the poor staff members who acknowledged that the main boathouse won't communicate with them, will barely acknowledge their location (clear from our phone calls), and won't fix their AC in 100-degree heat. Internal operations red flag #2. I walked away with some disappointed kids and vowed I'd advocate for those unfortunate sweaty staff members who got the brunt of my frustration. Full circle, I'm not eager to try again with Riversport and because of the red flags--I wouldn't recommend planning anything with them unless you want some major headaches.

Before today, I didn't know OKC had this activity available. They have kayaking, paddle boats, and flat board paddleboarding available. Today my sister and I tried the kayaking, and it was fantastic. You can rent them for one hour ($19), or all day ($39). My only two changes I would make, would be to a) add a discounted rate for a second hour, and 2) have a little more back support on the kayaks. Other than that it was fantastic. Here's a tip that we discovered, an hour will give you enough time to go south to the dam and back. However, we decided to go north, and it is definitely more scenic.

We have a blast at Riversports! We've been a few different times & have had the opportunity to paddle board and kayak. Both are fun activities that get the family outside, moving & enjoying nature. Staff is super pleasant and helpful, atmosphere is fun & family friendly. Food, drinks and other snacks are available for purchase.Check groupon for half price specials! Even when specials aren't being ran, prices are reasonable at approx. $20 per hour for kayaks and sup's. Life jackets provided. Pro tip: consider making an afternoon of it by loading up some sandwiches, drinks & snacks, and finding some shade to park under along the west bank!

We love Riversport adventures at lake Overholser! I grab a groupon or two every time they go on sale. We have done both kayaking and SUP and both were great. It's fun place to enjoy the outdoors and there's plenty to do for singles, couples, friends and large groups. When you get your boat or SUP go towards the bridge because the Stinchcomb Reserve is beautiful and peaceful.

Super fun activities are available at the Riversport Boathouse. For the unflappable, strap on a harness and climb up the ropes course. When you get to the top, you can slide down, Rumble Drop down (a bungee leap), or zip line across the river and back. While I felt much more trepidation than I expected to and left the ropes course via the slide ASAP, those in our group who stayed and worked the ropes eventually came down to try other things because, once they got the hang of it, they felt it was "just walking". The ropes course seemed to be a perfect fit for grade school and middle school kids or date night. For more rigorous climbing, there's a climbing rock with three different levels. For littles, check out the kiddie zone. For differently paced motion, get out on the river! I had a super time kayaking down the river, even though my kayak paddle broke into two a quarter mile from the docking station. While I was consoling myself (i.e., laughing and trying not to drift into shore), two happy little fish jumped into the kayak. It was wet and glorious, despite the nasty muddy water. A little reset, if you will. The downside to the boathouse was the lack of signage and help offered by the (mostly teenage) staff. They were easy to find and identify due to bright orange shirts, but we just sort of had to figure it out as we went, which was kind of weird. Simple signs would make a big difference. Also, the grounds were a little strange, as if there was no real plan for the layout. Manicure isn't everything, but there's something to be said for the impeccably "clean" feeling one gets at Disney. With the clean white lines of the expertly designed ropes course at OKC Riversport, clear, finished-looking grounds would make sense. This would nonetheless be a great space for a birthday party or change of pace in Oklahoma City. I'm so glad it's here!

Moderately disorganized after the new renovations and staff seemed overworked. HOWEVER, we love the boathouse and what they bring to the city! SUP boards are so fun to try at Overholser. About a mile to paddle down to the damn or you can paddle down to the refuge and avoid the crazy Oklahoma winds! Great spot to get in the water and/or take a romantic stroll by the lake! PS consider opening a Bar Lakeside ...

They failed to tell me that the zip line was closed due to high winds until after I paid and walked across. So I paid $60 to climb a rock wall and jump off the deck a couple of times. I wasn't happy and called the main office on a Saturday. Someone called me back within 2 hours and refunded me the whole amount. Will visit the other establishments again. Thank you for doing what's right.

What a really fun way to spend the day with your family, on a date or by yourself! This is such a great facility. They are an extension of the boathouse off of the Oklahoma river and offer so many great things to do! You can rent bikes and several kinds of kayaks, etc. for very reasonable prices (or free when they have the online coupon and it's your first time! The staff is so friendly and helpful and Overholser is my favorite place to run, too! It's not as crowded as Hefner and it feels so cozy and safe! It's about 7 miles if you run around the perimeter of the lake. Don't forget there's also a path that connects lake Hefner to lake Overholser for more mileage!

Poor communication. No accountability (in our experience). So how safe can they really be?Safety in ziplines and water sports requires attention to detail. And when you can't get basic communication down on your own website or even the phone, how safe can you really be? I've used other rafting and zipline services in other states and that's where the bar is set. We were coming up to Oklahoma City for a conference and we had heard about the rental services and the white water rafting. We actually tried to call just to confirm but their voice mail system was an endless loop and eventually we got dumped into a voice mailbox for scheduling etc. We left messages TWICE and no one ever called us back. So we checked the website for hours, times, and dates and everything was going to be open for our trip. After all it was still summer. We actually booked the hotel room a couple of days earlier just to enjoy these water sports. Boy did we waste our money. So the first day we show up at Lake Overholser to rent a canoe or kayak and no one is there. The place is dark. We check website for hours and it says it should be open. A guy in his forties sees us looking in the windows trying to figure out what's going on. He says it's closed and has been closed all week and he was just there doing some operations work. We show him that the website says they should be open and right away you can see the "They did it again" look on his face. He apologizes and said that management told everyone to go home at the beginning of the week. He feels so bad that he lets us in to the place while he can call the other locations to find out who is renting boats. So he goes above and beyond to help us. This was a great way to deal with the situation. But that's when the rest of the system lets him down again. He calls the location in the Boathouse District. He tells them what has happened and confirms that they are indeed renting kayaks at their location. He asks them twice and tells them that he's going to send some people over. We thank him very much and immediately leave for the next location. Ugh. Upon arriving at the Boathouse District we are immediately told that they are NOT renting any boats. Whaaaat? We tell them that the website says they are and that the staff member at Overholser called to confirm. In typical Millenial fashion the two counter staffers just say "Sorry" and then literally turn back to playing on their phones. So we decided to tell them that the whole story about no one answering the phone system and the website being wrong - everything that was just poor communication. They still didn't even see anything wrong. There was no empathy! They just say the website is out of date a lot because only one person can make changes as far as they know.So in our experience, so much of this organization is mismanaged and doesn't communicate well. So you have to ask yourself, "Do I want to hang from a zipline or ride in the rapids that this place manages?" I guess this is what you can expect when you take a nonprofit organization where people don't really have to worry about performance and then staff it with Millenials. It's too bad because I really want a program like this to succeed.
