This was at the top of my list when stopping through OKC. The Dale Chihuly exhibit is one of the largest permanent exhibits and it does not disappoint. His glass blowing techniques creates a world of the likes of Alice in Wonderland or Wonka. I'd be careful with young children because the pieces are accessible, but it is an experience that will stick with you. Highly recommend!

First, know that OKCMOA is a member of NARM which basically means if you have a Philbrook membership, you can get in free. Or, conversely if you have a OKCMOA membership you get into Phillbrook! :) (There are lots of other museums in this reciprocal program so check it out.)Second, the current Edith Head exhibit is amazing. There is room after room of her many and varied costumes from the heyday of motion pictures. A couple of vintage videos are in the exhibit, too. I learned a lot about the designer. The gift shop has some amazing items to correspond with the exhibit as well as some delicious themed cocktails. Go check it all out.(Oh, yeah....there's also the Chihuly's!)

We were on a trip to Oklahoma City, and we're interested in doing something the day after Thanksgiving. We are always fans of art museums, and when I heard that this museum had a permanent Chihuly exhibit, I was in! The exhibit is fabulous, and I saw several pieces that I had never seen in person before. We had been in France during the summer, and had visited the Rodin museum, so seeing the pieces that this museum had of his work was exciting. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area!

OKC has a surprisingly great art museum, especially if you want to see Chihuly art. The art museum consists of three floors. When we visited, the top floor was a traveling exhibit of Edith Head dresses, which was such a cool art exhibit to see. The second floor has a permanent collection of assorted paintings on one half, and the other half had a traveling exhibit. We visited about a month before the Picasso traveling exhibit was coming, so that half of the floor was closed. It was disappointing that a whole half of one of the floors was closed. The first floor is definitely the star of the museum, Chihuly glass art. The collection is quite extensive, you wouldn't expect OKC to have such a big collection. We were able to park on a Sunday on the road behind the museum for free. The museum admission was $20 for adults, which is a little high in my opinion but pretty standard price for OKC museums. They also had a really cute gift shop, but they didn't have much OKC art museum branded merchandise.

I love the Museum of Art. I went to see the Edith Head display. It was awesome and very well done. I also love the Chihuly glass display. I've been several times and I drop by every time to see it. I try to go on the weekends so there is free parking right by the museum.

It's a great day to go to the art museum! My daughter and I decided to add alittle culture in our day! I've been to the museum in OKC before but first time with daughter. It's interesting how we can see the exact same thing but have a different experience, perspective. I love the communication that crosses all barriers and true art does just that. However, my only co cern with regular admission you don't get to enjoy the new exhibit. What??!? Why?!?? The first two floors of the museum seem to have permanent exhibits so if you e been there many times you should have the opportunity (w/o paying extra) to see new exhibits. So that was a bummer and the reason we did a short walk through on the first and second floor... same ole art we've seen before!

Totally enjoyed today's visit to the museum. Did, pay parking lot, due to parking for Wicked show.Lots of people in line for tickets but since I did our free tickets on line, we got to immediately check in at a separate place.Love the idea for special free Sundays! Even if you pay it would be worth it.We loved the first floor that's full of just gorgeous glass art. I was in aw of the imagination seen here. Took a few pictures.....OK alot of pictures. My favorite was the boat full of glass items. Some families had children and had them on strict attention. They have back tape on floor showing where to stay behind. I would be nervous taking small children.Second and third floors by stairs or elevator has paintings and pictures.Very unique and interesting !Also gift shop with a bar. A seperate kids art areaMuseum supper clean with lots of places to sit. Everyone friendly with several workers throughout.

Visisted this museum in September to see the Edith Head exhibit. Very well displayed and informative. I also visited the 2nd floor exhibits-various paintings and the Picasso exhibit. Since i had time, i was able to see the Chihuly exhibit on the 1st floor. Very extensive collection and well displayed. (don't miss it if you are there since it's included in admission)

This museum was a treat! Based on the reviews it was supposed to be fun but i was a little nervous when a lot of the photos were only of the entryway. Everything looked amazing, it was very spacious, and they had many different pieces & styles displayed here. We stayed for about an hour, but it was great!

I loved the museum's gift shop and the friendly workers in the front desk. I was able to work and see some Oklahoma work. They closed down a floor, so I was only able to see one floor.
