Fundraiser. Slow roasted, burgundy marinated beef paired with a pasillo-glazed chicken skewer, elote corn popover, squash & zucchini.
Tres Chic indeed.
Brandy Ice from Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. Perhaps my favorite dessert.

Gorgeous clubhouse with amazing banquet facilities. I could see the golf course and it looked challenging and immaculately groomed. I was there with friends to commemorate the 249th birthday of the US Marine Corps. The Club did an outstanding job of catering the event, serving a delicious lunch to the 600+ Marines, veterans and guests in attendance. Oldest Marine present was a 102 year old Iwo Jima veteran.

OKCGCC has consistenly unimpressed me when I've attended events here. They rely too heavily on the fact that they're in Nichols Hills so they're "fancy." With all that old money you'd think they could afford a working PA system. A luncheon I was at recently had terrible sound issues that persisted throughout, but we could clearly hear the loud music coming from another event in a neighboring room.I also hate parking there. Do they really need multiple rows for "golfers only" parking? When they have big events the valet is a cluster and it takes forever to arrive and leave with all the backed up vehicles. Their food and service are average, and the others issues make me dread attending events here. I'm not going to skip events that I care about because they're hosted here, but I'd love to see some better comparable options.

I am not a regular at country clubs, so I really had no idea what to expect. I was here for an event for the library system with Lisa Scottoline speaking. We arrived and easily found a spot in the parking lot. You can use valet, but it wasn't a requirement which is nice. Then you're not left waiting when the event is over for your car.Walking inside, it's a very nice building. Very spacious and clean! We started with a drink at the bar while we waited, and then around 7pm were summoned to the event space. I say summoned because someone actually walked out with a small instrument that they hit with a mallet to make tones. Like a mini xylophone! It felt very fancy haha.We started with a salad that had various bits of fruit. The dressing was the only bad note of the meal, as it was some sort of citrus dressing that none of us really enjoyed.Following we had a filet of beef, fancy carrots, potatoes, and a roasted tomato. The filet was cooked nicely, with a decent amount of pink remaining. The carrots appeared roasted with seasoning and were delicious! The potatoes were a tad cool for my liking, but well-made overall. I avoided the tomato as it looked a bit sad. We also received one roll, which was your typical roll.Dessert was my favorite element, by far. It was a large creme brulee with two baby beignets, whipped cream, and raspberries. I would have happily eaten 2 of these for my meal!! Delicious.Overall, it was a lovely evening and I wouldn't hesitate to return. Oh, and in the bathroom they have REAL towels to dry your hands with. Single use. They probably do a lot of laundry, but...it was nice to feel fancy for an evening. My coach turned into a pumpkin at midnight and I lost my glass slippers, but it was fun while it lasted!

First, I'll admit to being conflicted over how I'm supposed to feel about country clubs in general, you know, in the everchanging social awareness climate. I'll also admit to a probably incorrect infatuation with old fashioned things like dress codes and 1920s manners. Over the years I've visited OCGCC for various events, though never as a member, so I can't speak to that aspect of the club. For dinners and fancy meetings though, I've found it to be nicely elegant without being stuffy. Sometimes it's difficult to rate decor; that fine line between old world classic and 1970s/80s cheese is blurred further by the current unhelpful revival of 70s-80s as cool rather than tatty. The furnishings are 'Oklahoma country club' - neither 19th century hunting lodge nor last-week-new industrial sterile modern. What one would expect most likely, and rightly so.Staff have always been gracious and efficient, demonstrating a standard that's currently somewhat rare in the service industry. My most recent experience, attending an awards dinner, was certainly up to par. I go into these things prepared to eat little, as the plates of food brought around inevitable contain a big hunk of meat, which I carefully eat around, usually also offering it to my neighbor. Well, this time salad arrived first, with pieces of bacon. Though I'd have settled for scraping it onto my husband's plate, he spoke up, asking if there might be a meatless option. Both our plates were whisked away, to be replaced with fresh salads. When the steak course was presented, my dinner turned out to be a delicious portobello mushroom entree! Another woman at our table had an allergy to onions and garlic, which was also accommodated by the kitchen, with no prior notice. After this experience, if I were responsible for organizing and finding a classy venue for a large affair, you can bet this country club would be on the short list, knowing the high level of service offered. One other thing; the following evening while strolling through the arts festival, a woman passing me said, "you were at the country club last night!" Clearly I didn't recognize her, but she smiled and helped me out: "I was your bartender." Ah yes, those lovely gin and tonics.....

I've attended a few events here, most recently a few fundraising lunches and dinners. It's a great space for that type of thing. It's very nice, and has historic value, but everything is updated so it's not "ancient." This place may be deemed as "stuffy" or "snobby," and while that isn't all the way false, no one should take away from the elegance this place has to offer. It's a product of its environment. I can't speak to how this place holds up as a golf club/course, but I think the venue itself is great. The food is mostly good each time I eat here, and the waitstaff is always friendly and professional. I'm sure I will be back here for one thing or another sooner than later. 4 stars.

Only have been here for events, weddings and Christmas parties. As I attend more weddings and events than most people, my friends think of me as one of the foremost critics of weddings and large events. I am proud to say the venue is always beautifully decorated, the food is delicious and served at the proper temperature. Many times at large events the food is cold, melted and dried out. This has never been the case at OKC Golf & Country Club.I highly recommend this venue for events. Foods I have had at this venue: Lobster bisque, shrimp cocktail, rolls, salad, filet, BRANDY ICE. Plenty of room for sit-down meals, dancing and a band.

I have attended numerous meals and events at OCG&CC across the past 12+ years. I have had some really spectacular meals there. Tonight's food was just ok, but it's the inattentive service at the front desk (coat check) that shocked me! I know the place well enough I should have just walked past the front and right into the dining room where I was pretty sure my event would be held. Instead, I did the right thing and stopped to ask if that's where my group was meeting. They didn't recognize the name of the sponsoring group as I described it. Instead of reading the list of booked events going on, the woman just declared there's no group like that here now. I was essentially turned away because of their inattention to detail.I got back in my car, drove to my office to double-check the invitation and time. Then I phoned in, now with more confidence that I do not have the wrong venue. This time the woman actually "read" the list to me, and I recognized the group immediately. Why hadn't she done that before?? When I walked through the front door the 2nd time, the woman was all defensive, and wanted to blame the group -- that they had not given a full & complete description of the event. This fiasco made me 45 minutes late to the event. Then, once I got to my table another couple admitted they, too, had a similar conversation with her and they almost believed it until they just persisted and figured out they're in the right place. Pardon me OCG&CC, but I will never again check with your staff. I will just look around on my own, thank you!!

let me tell you it is the most shady place to work. The management puts on a front to act like they care about the staff when in reality they could care less. The members are the ones who TRULY care about the employees and treat us like family. I know they have helped or given advise to myself and multiple employees. The yelp review about Oliver is correct! There is also a google review about misleading Alcohol charging for events and that is correct as well. Men get all the perks of the club while women get little to dirt. Mens locker room is beautiful with 20+ lockers and a full bar and a shoe shining station.Womens locker room is about 8-10 lockers and a bench. Men also get mulitple events a month while women get one every 3 months. They charge each person 24% gratuity per item but the staff only sees 8% of in dining food and drink subtotal (without gratuity) split between everyone who is clocked it, minimum 6 people so we each see 0.06% at times. We saw no commission for the millions of dollars of wine sales we helped with, nor the specialty drinks created by the bartenders made for special dinners. 100% of the added 24% gratuity goes to the club even though the members are charged a monthly minimum and yearly dues. The club recently went through 5 hourly employees and two managers resigning at once because we tried to bring better all around solutions but got denied for no reason. It's unfortunate there will be no resolutions for these issues.

All the reviews here are for people who have attended events and if I had to attend an event there instead of host a wedding there I'd give it a higher rating. My son's wedding was there on 7/11 and as the parent of the groom I was responsible for the bar. I spoke with the event manager, Tracy, in January and told her what I wanted. She met with my son a couple weeks before and he just told me what was going to be served and the price of the drinks. I had told both the budget. We had 150 guest, with easily 10 being kids or non drinkers. With Covid it was definitely a younger crowd. However a week after the event I received a bill for 800 drinks for a group of 140 people - 608 which were cocktails. It was also 3,000 over my budget. When I asked them to provide proof of how much we'd consumed I was told it was a younger crowd so they would "expect" them to drink more cocktails and that they were all "heavily intoxicated". I guess so with 800 drinks! Except I didn't feel like the crowd was heavily intoxicated. I also had told them beer and wine until after dinner and it was a open bar (club level) from the moment people got there. A third email from the event manager stated in fact they had not opened one of the bars until after dinner (one out of 3) and cut out 88 drinks. I also was sent the consumption list and here's where they rip people off -They measure the alcohol bottles in inches, but they pour in ounces. They say they get 47 drinks out of a 1.75L bottle, which is a 1.25 ounce drink. An average drink at any bar is 1.5 ounces. However there was no bartender using a jigger to measure and the drinks were heavy pours - definitely not 1.25 ounces. This means that a drink poured with more than 1.25 ounces of alcohol in it is more inches gone out of the bottle when they measure at the end of the night and more "drinks" to charge for. The way they measure the alcohol means they charged us for about 200 more drinks than were actually poured. The place was decorated lovely, the staff and food were good. So If you are hosting anything there with alcohol just stick to the beer and wine.
