As a grand parent l truly love this school. I'm amazed at how much my grandson has learned. He already knows the the entire books of the Bible in the 1st few months. His teacher Ms. Bentley is the BEST teacher for the pre-K class. I wish she could follow him throughout the years he attends OCA. It's wonderful to know prayers is practicing daily in the classrooms. The power of prayer still works. The entire staff has beautiful smiles and caring hearts .

If you wanna learn knowledge or make true friends and see the "true" world, then go to another school. All kids here grew up together and they don't really accept new students as friends. Everybody is so cold and rude to people who have ideas different than them. Both I and one of my international friend felt like it was a living hell. They won't even give you a glance If you walk by them and smile to them (I've tried for a month and I felt like everybody looks at me as an idiot, lol). Also, most of the teachers at there don't do their jobs or have no control of the class. The president seemed nice but she is a know-it-all. Don't dare try to correct anything she says on any subject. This is the worst school I have ever attend in my whole life. I went to another high school in Edmond and I transferred to a community college now and I felt the study environment and quaily of people and professors at both places are much more better than OCA. I feel ashamed for their "Christian education"then. Doesn't God tell us to love, to not judge?? Those people are just stupid as f, stay away plz!

I have two kids in OCA and we love it. OCA doesn't just talk the talk, they truly walk it. This is the most loving school environment I've ever found.

Poverty Simulator.... The most offensive terrifying experience I've ever had. Poverty Simulator occurred on Spiritual Emphasis Day. This occurred when I was a mere freshman. The entire school participated in acting like poor people. There was "food stamps" and we had to feed our "families to survive" There was little to no supervision. Kids were fighting. I was shoved against a wall and threatened. Children were hiding in the restrooms praying for safety. The small overcrowded hallways were packed with 6th-12th grade students. kids were thrown to the floors and there was violence everywhere. It was truly a horrifying day.

OCA is very clean and organized. It is a faith based school but is accepting of everyone. They have great teach to student ratios and offer preschool for as little as 3 year olds. The school is focused on making the students positive contributors to society rather than merely consumers - giving the students self confidence and pride in the changes they can create in the world.

We were reluctant to send our daughter to a private school in Edmond, afraid it would be a pretentious environment, but after a few negative public school experiences we felt we had to make the change. We toured OCS, Crossings & St. Mary's and liked aspects of all of them. We considered OCA last because we were afraid it would be too conservative. After visiting we realized while the staff is predominately one denomination the student body is quite diverse. We have been at OCA for five years now and have never regretted or second guessed our decision. It is so encouraging to have a team of adults all pouring into our daughter's life, encouraging her and investing in her. One of my favorite things about OCA is their focus on raising well rounded future leaders with opportunities for speaking in front of their peers. The staff love the kids and have their best interest at heart, especially those in leadership positions. For us it was a great choice. A positive community for our daughter to grow up in. We look forward to the next 5 years!
