My wife has been in retail for decades and one of her rules was if you say you are going to be open, be open. That customer service-centric attitude allowed her to grow a dedicated customer base, and her business grew. I would think for a small local business, this would be essential as building customer loyalty is essential to your success. If, however, your posted times say open until 6, and you close before that time, and I am at your store ready to buy something, I will give you a bad review every time. I don't care if you're the greatest store ever, if your posted hours say you are open, you should be there. I checked times, and made it to the store with 7 minutes to spare. Sign said closed, employee inside said "we're closed" even when I pointed to my watch showing I had time left, and went back to vacuuming. I could have picked up the one item I wanted to buy while they vacuumed....but no. They could have made a loyal customer for life, instead I won't be back for awhile, and in fact, I'd be justified to take my business elsewhere....shouldn't be a big deal as they apparently don't need my business anyways.I hate to give a business a review like this, because as a concept this is a great store and they have unique and fun items. However, as a customer, I can't buy it if you close early. As a small business, that's your right to close when you want. As a consumer, it's my prerogative to shop elsewhere, and to share my negative experiences.

Nice selection of spices and kitchen goods. But overpriced and the woman working (which I later found out was the owner) was extremely rude. She basically told my friends to leave because they had small children (that were well behaved, mind you) because they touched a few things. She never once asked if we needed anything and never said a word to me and never made eye contact when I checked out. Will not be back.

We loved this store! Excellent selections, unique hot sauces & rubs too! We will definitely be back!

I love this store! They have every spice imaginable along with hundreds of other sauces, mixes, breads and soups. It's a perfect place to get unique gifts from kitchen gadgets to all sorts of items for entertaining. Will definitely be visiting this store often.
