Friendly little shop with excellent service. The hooked me up with a guitar and shipped it as well. I would definitely go back.

As great and convenient as online shopping is, it really does hurt the small, local shops in the area like OKC Music and Sound. I randomly decided to come in after looking for a place that would sell button straps for my new acoustic, and wow, I'm disappointed I didn't give this place my business years before.Due to the increase of online popularity and decrease of foot traffic and sales, OKC Music and Sound will be closing soon. This means they have huge sales throughout the store, but much of the inventory has already been cleaned out (darn you people who cleaned out the phosphor-bronze stock). That being said, the owner Robin, was still incredibly kind, helpful, and goofy. The cheapest price I could find for someone in the OKC area to drill/install a button strap into my acoustic was about $40. I am so thankful I decided to search around a little bit more on Google because Robin saved me a ton of money. I got guitar strings, a button strap install, humidity packs, and a peg winder for $13. THIRTEEN DOLLARS. I felt guilty, but that's how liquidation sales work I guess. Robin did mention that he plans on opening a smaller shop doing more luthier type of work, and when that happens, I will certainly be going to him.

My first time there Phillip was great and I appreciated his help. Some unique finds here and I plan of coming back; however. A bit of advice for the owner (Robin), please refrain from providing your polical views to customers (like me). You never know who is standing in front of you and what their experience/background may be? I too (like many) have strong political views but I keep those to myself especially around those that don't know me. You have a nice store, good people that represent you and your business, I will be back because of the unique equipment that I saw, and honestly, I'd prefer to do business with a local shop owner. I am betting on better review during my next visit.

I've been taking ukulele lessons with Clint there for almost a year. I have to say I was really nervous to start as a music lover that's never really played much, the Uke just sounded like fun and it is! Clint a great teacher; he's very encouraging. Even when I think I don't feel like going I always leave in a better mood. I can play a variety of tunes now. I'm not ready for my own youtube channel yet but I will be performing a song for more then two people pretty soon and maybe some day a whole crowd of people! I love that Clint takes the time to translate songs that I love to ukulele for me so we can make them sound even more adorable and it also helps inspire me to practice more often. The shop is great to, the staff is always friendly!

I love OKC Music and Sound. They offer a wide array of musical instruments. I've personally purchased 2 ukuleles and 1 acoustic guitar. Never failed to have great customer service from their knowledgeable staff. They also have private music lessons - I highly recommend Tom Cherry if you want to learn to play the guitar.

Disappointing service. My 17 year old son has become quite accomplished on the guitar in about a year of practicing. I personally have 7 guitars and am constantly looking for new ones. I told him to look around to see what he'd want as he wants his own and Christmas is coming soon. He and a friend were excited about going to this store to see what they had. The shopkeepers "went outside" to smoke after my son arrived. They also asked him to leave after 20 minutes if he wasn't going to buy anything. Terribly disappointing as I'd noticed they were carrying Higher end brands that we were considering. We will not be back. Several posts here refer to the service level and I'd suggest taking note.

I bought a new Ibanez guitar at OKC Music in 2009 and the people were all so friendly and knowledgeable that I was determined to return there for their expertise. A few days ago I took another guitar in to be worked fixed. I ended up trading it in on an acoustic guitar. They were more completely fair and worked with me to upgrade. I ended up dropping off my old Gibson to be restrung. When I picked it up they had cleaned it up and even gave me a history lesson on the guitar based on the serial number. They continue their great service at every level. I'll be back!Thank you!!!

Recently started learning the guitar again with my acoustic and thought it was time to replace the electric I sold. I still feel awkward picking up a guitar in a store and "playing", but I was made to feel at home here. The salesman was very helpful, polite, professional unlike 4 other stores I had been to that day. Coupled with the great selection they had to pick from is the reason I went back and bought the guitar that had caught my eye.
