This country club is by far the worst one I've been to. Ever. We had a large event here (about 200 people), and we ran into so many different issues! We usually host our event at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club but we decided to give this place shot. Really regretting that foolish decision. The staff was very rude and seemed like they all hated their job. The manager who was helping us was even ruder, believe it or not. The AC stopped working, basically the entire time we were there. The food was supposed to be served at 7:15 and it was served at 7:45. Ladies from their country club (wearing jeans at our black tie event) kept coming into our event and drinking on our tab. The event manager and employees were so unprofessional. I am not sure how they let that happen. The staff started picking up our items at 11:30pm even though our event was supposed to end at midnight. They took our drinks (including water), whether we were done or not. I am so disappointed! For such an expensive venue, I expected at least decent service.I would like to reiterate how rude the event manager was that "helping" us. I will make sure to get her name and add it to this post. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HOSTING ANY EVENT HERE. Unless you want a terrible experience that's not worth the cost.

I recently ventured out with my brother and his wife for a dinner at Oak Tree's restaurant. I didn't have many expectations because I hadn't heard much about their restaurant, but giving that it is a Country Club, I hoped for an above par dining experience. My expectations were met and exceeded! The staff was friendly and professional while being very attentive. My glass never reached the bottom before a fresh drink was placed in front of me. My brother likes a lime with his drink and the server was intentional about making sure he received a fresh lime with every refill. (Big plus in my book)For an appetizer, we started with the Mussels. Each mussel was fresh and power packed with flavor and the red wine sauce they were served in was delectable. (My mouth is watering now just thinking about it.) For my entree I ordered the fish and chips. As you will see in the picture, the portion was very generous and the fish was battered and fried to perfection. The fish was flaky and tasted fresh and the coleslaw was flavorful and creamy. The French fries had a light batter on them as well that tied in well with the flavor of the fish. This is seriously the best fish and chips I've ever had outside of the eastern seaboard! Kudos to Oak Tree and their staff for making this a wonderful experience in a beautiful and clean establishment. If you know someone who is a member, I definitely recommend having them take you to dinner and if not, go get a membership! You won't regret it.

Our swim team, EXTREME, usually swims at the Edmond high schools aquatic center, a world class pool complex built for competitive swimming at Mitch Park YMCA but we come here when the YMCA books the pool out for other uses and we can't rent lanes for practice that day. We rent lanes at Oak Tree country club early mornings for the occasional practice when our normal complex is not available. This pool fits our requirements quite nice, clean, fairly modern, 25 meter short course configuration. It appears to be clean, with cabanas and nice deck furniture all around. The gated community has full time security, the homes in the neighborhood are nice.

Menu items we love are the blood orange salmon, grilled pork chop, and fish and chips. The club takes good care of their members, but service is often slow during the weekday lunch hour (1.5 hours). Multiple TVs playing sporting events or news our peppered throughout the open dining area. A large Full bar is available for open seating. The dining room has a great view of the golf course and wonderful natural light from the wide windows. Finally, the restrooms are large and clean and provide an array of complementary toiletries to help ladies keep looking their best.

My family and I joined Oak Tree Country Club in January of this year. We had just moved to the area and we were looking forward to getting involved in a new community, meeting new people, and enjoying the amenities. I should have known that there were issues considering how desperate the club was to find new members. I received more mail in the months that I was a member about incentives to encourage my family and friends to join than I did about upcoming events. The whole place is a mess, but here are three very specific reasons that we decided to pay the $1,000.00 penalty to end our membership a mere six months in. 1.) After being charged for a round of drinks (and gratuity) that I did not order, I called to see about having this refunded to my account. After the promise of a quick reimbursement, I have yet to see that money. 2.) I signed my daughter up for a ballet class that seemed promising, but after making arrangements and purchasing the necessary items for the class (shoes and an outfit), I was called THE DAY OF the first class to be told that the entire thing was being canceled because not enough people signed up. Can you imagine telling your four-year-old little girl to take off the tutu because class isn't happening?3.) Friday night is Steak Night, and my husband and I were told that it was a popular choice to drop the kids off at the childcare upstairs to have a "Date Night". We invited my brother and his wife and their son to join us. The steak wasn't impressive, nor was the service (i.e., our steaks were served on bread plates), and I was appalled to discover that neither of the two ladies that were at the childcare center were watching my four-year-old twins or my three-year-old nephew. I discover my daughter and nephew attempting to climb over the railing of the SECOND FLOOR BALCONY when I went to pick them up to head home. This once prestigious country club is nothing more than a golf course with a mediocre restaurant. It is laughable to actually consider this place a country club, and I am appalled that I was fooled into thinking that this actually would be a good place to spend my free time. What a giant mess!

Recently "reinvented", this place is absolutely gorgeous, a gem glittering in the wide open spaces north of Oklahoma City. It's guard-gated so when you pull up, you immediately get that "oh wow" feeling that intensifies when you walk through the front door of the clubhouse. Inside, more wide open space is the atrium with a rough hewn, raw/polished huge wood slab table for you to relax at while you wait for...whatever you like. Keep advancing through and you find yourself in the spacious lounge that has small tables within, sparkly chandeliers that are freeform sculptures with mini lights at the tips and beyond, an enormous mass of glass looking out over the new terrace. In this space you'll find more of the luxe furnishings; another huge wood slab table for sipping a beverage at, and sumptious stuffed leather chairs for relaxing. The terrace will be a wonderful place to have relaxing dinners or elegant receptions and events. It overlooks the course and is both peaceful and inviting. The staff, led by the most gracious general manager you'll ever meet, is warm and welcoming. These folks are so happy to be here and it shows in their attitude. Just upon arriving, you're greeted like long lost family; none of this stuffy old-style country club attitude here. My fifth star will be awarded once I've tried the new menu. Until then, join me at the club!
