A little late in my review but you know how it goes. The last couple of years have been exciting in the Comic world. With the help of blockbuster hits bringing our beloved superheroes and villains, it's helped bring a younger generation to what many of us grew up with- glossy paper comics. Our morning started at a few comic stores and we saved the best for last with New World Comics off N Meridian. Free comic book Saturday gives a chance for fans and youngins socialize with liked minds. Tons of giveaways and characters create an almost comic setting. There are limits to free comic books understandably. I have not missed this event in over 5 years and is a tradition with my twelve year old. Even though the first Saturday in May has passed, check out this wonderful store. And you'd be way more !!

The owner is helpful and friendly, and always gracious about charging me a reasonable hourly rate to evaluate the comic books and other graphic novels that I bring in to have evaluated.I know virtually nothing about comics; that's true. That said, the staff here always takes good care of me.

My favorite comic shop in okc. The sheer amount of back issues they have is unmatched as well as everything off the rack. Same goes for their trades as well as indie comic selection. Friendly service and environment that makes me feel welcome. Highly recommend!

Best comic shop I have found so far in Oklahoma. Super friendly customer service and they have a lot of comics. I found several comics I need for my walking Dead collection. I have been there three times and each time I added to my collection. Last time I got me a 75b variant. They also go out of there way to help the community and become an out reach for kids. The owner is a great person with a big heart. I always spend a few hundred dollars, but I always feel I saved a few hundred. I never resale so I feel good that got a fair price to finish a collection. Sucks being a completist, but I see the price of the same comic in thirty different stores. Only store better is Acme Comics in North Carolina. If you need a fair price on a comic travel here.

This place was just ok, so I went to All-Star Comics. Not sure why they didn't have a lot of comics on the shelf, but I was really disappointed.

I called to see if they would be open on a Friday, they said they would be open until 12. I drove from norman to come in and when I got there they were closed. I arrived at 11:35, just wanted to browse for a few since they said they were open till midnight. Sucks because I went out of my way to come and check it out in my time off.

My favorite comic shop I have been to. First off, they stock better than any store I have been too. If I ever have a few months where I can't afford to or am not able to pick up the series I am currently reading, I am almost always able to fill all of those gaps whenever I return to the store. Everything is also very well organized and easy to find. More than anything though, the owner and staff here, and I'll shout out All-Star Comics as well for the same reasons, are so kind. I have found that many stores I have been to either do not care that. you are there, or are just outright rude or elitist to new comers when they come around. Comic books are a very overwhelming form or storytelling and art to get into, with such a long history and continuity, especially from the big two, to get into, and this can make it a very overwhelming task to know where to start. Every time I ask them questions that always give me the best answer they can and help me find some series I may enjoy. Huge shout out to the owner (I am so sorry I cannot remember his name at the moment) but he especially was so kind to me one time, we were talking about the new X-Men form the ashes comics, and I was overwhelmed about where to start. We talked about a lot of series we enjoy and the types of stories that I usually like, and after my initial purchase he thought of X-Factor and thought I might enjoy it as it is one of his favorites. He went over and grabbed the first issue and gave it to me free of charge since I had already finished my purchase. He may not have known it but that was a very rough week for, as my college major requires a hefty amount of reading into heavy themes and solving some tough problems, and I work on top of that as well as going through a healing process after a break up. A lot of that was compounding for me that week and it had been a tough one for me. Comic books are something that are always a great relief from the heavy stuff, as well as something that gives me a well of inspiration and hope to not give up on myself or from trying to make the world a better place. Honestly, why read superhero comics if not to be inspired. That conversation and act of kindness, no matter how brief or small it may have been to him, meant a very great deal to me, as I am a firm believer in kindness and love being the most important human trait to push back against the hatred the world pushes on a constant basis. That kindness stuck with me, as well as the fact that they also have very open minds towards new comic books that may be aimed more at younger generations, and being big supporters of introducing new generations to the art form. I highly recommend supporting them, as they are a very bright light in a comic book community that can become too cynical for its own good sometimes. One of my absolute favorite shops around!
