New Great Wall

Wow. Not in the good way. I wanted Chinese food. It was Sunday.Pro: they're open on SundayCons: no thank you from themSpent over $40 and ordered ahead and still waited a long timeFlavor was decentDo not get the curry. It's not curry like you're expecting. My fault for thinking that If you order ahead, be aware that they have specials listed on the board once you arrive. They offer freebies for spending x amount of money, but don't tell you that beforehand.Pro: they offered a lunch menu that I didn't know about.Better to just go in and wait since it probably won't be prepared when you order ahead anyways.I will stick with the Chinese takeout a mile and half south. I just have to not crave it on Sundays.

Ordered 8 Crab Rangoon's, Large Special Lo Mein, and an Entree.All I recieved was a small rice.I called to ask about it and the lady just kept on saying I don't know and too bad for you over and over. She hung up on me 4 separate times and she was the only one raising her voice and acting frustrated towards me.

The food is great and the staff is well mannered. I moved nearby and will be going here more often. They're open til 10 p.m. which is very nice considering I get off work a little later. I recommend the chicken lo mein and sesame chicken.

Terrble Terrible! $70 to get 3 dishes and 3 appetizers Egg rolls were greasy and basically just cabbage.Honestly tasted like the frozen egg rolls you get at a gas station deli, fried dumplings were super gummy, egg fu young was so bland, even with the bland gravy, All dishes were mostly vegetables in little meat. Way too much use of crappy canned peas and carrots. Just so much overpriced bland for $70. Tried this place 10 years or so ago and it was terrible. Moved back to Edmond, decided to give it another shot. TERRIBLE. We should have just ordered cheap pizza instead. Would have had more flavor and cost much less

DO NOT EAT HERE !!! Rude service and terrible food the chicken was terribly undercooked and cold like it hadn't even been cooked and when I went back to ask for a refund they told me that i could get something else and they weren't refunding it in a very rude tone, not even considering the fact that I spent so much money on it as college student who just wanted a nice meal for one night. I didn't want to eat there after that experience so I politely asked for my refund, which was 40$ mind you, and was told no only exchanges were allowed and now I feel incredibly sick. I would give this place 0 stars if i could

The lady was fucking rude.. they don't say Thank or If you say it to them they are silent.. Then the food was TRASH... I got pork fried rice and it was dry, old, flavorless.. The spring roll was greasy and no meat in it.. That was a waste of money and time..

Never have I ever been yelled at as a customer ordering from an establishment. I ordered an item to go and when it was time to pay I asked the older woman at the register if they accepted sales tax exempt. She immediately snapped at me raising her voice saying "NO!" I then proceeded to show her my sales tax exempt card in case she was confused about what I asked and again she raised her voice and snapped at me "NO! WE DONT DO SALES TAX EXEMPT HERE!!". I informed her calmly saying "all ran businesses in Oklahoma have to accept sales tax exempt" and her response was once again raising her voice saying "WE DONT DO THAT HERE!" I told her "you don't have to be rude, it's not necessary" she kept yelling "NO!" I said "I will not be ordering anything from here. You shouldn't have been rude" she huffed and walked back to the kitchen saying things I didn't understand. I was very shocked to have been treated like this today. I'm not sure what her issue was as I was so nice and grateful they were open today for what I needed. This is my 1st and last time coming here.As for this business I will be reporting you to the Oklahoma Tax Commission office that you rudely willingly and knowingly denied my sales tax exempt card.(In the state of Oklahoma all businesses by law have to abide and accept sales tax exemption. By law if they deny someone the business will be fined up to $500 as stated in Title 68 Section 1361.1 of the "Publication D Oklahoma Sales Tax Exempt Vendor Liability")

Sesame chicken high recommend it place is clean and nice people very crispy chicken it was very good with the egg roll

Have been disappointed here over other problems but as a weekly multi meal customer I was surprised when a $25.+order was not what I ordered but was given song & dance in person worst than playing language game on phone first. Took food back to show the mistake. Such absolute "could care less" by owner herself willcontinue to drive others away as we will never return.

Taking into account cultural and language differences I have no problems with new Great Wall near Santa Fe and 15th. I would say it is some of the best. Chinéese food in the area. Now let's say Chinese/american as much of it is not real Chinese. Take a long trip go to China town in Chicago been there lived in the "burbs" service in some of the "fine" places there is about the same but you have dishes you do not find at new great wall. Beef tendon, jelly fish and others!I can treat New Great Wall like a themed place Such as Ed Debevic's in Chicago or many along Route 66. If You are looking for great service do not go to small hole in the wall ethnic places. Oh, you will often miss great food by avoiding hole in the wall places. My experience is the small hole in the wall places like New Great Wall have fantastic food even though service might not top the charts, then consider are there cultural or language differences that are being missed?Even though you are a customer, always remember PLEASE and THANK YOU go a LONG way. I would like to place and order please after confirming the order that is all thank you. And consider in a takeout place after the order is confirmed they may hang up because customers are at the counter or calls are coming in. Again my service experience here has always been good.
