Nellis Vineyards

I chose Nellis Vineyard because it was a beautiful wedding venue and property. However, I am quite displeased with my personal experience and can not leave a positive review. On the day of the wedding, my hair and makeup staff arrived before I did to set up and prep the wedding party. Linda, the owner of Nellis Vineyards, ended up stopping my hired staff, making a terrible scene, threatening to call the police due to their early arrival. My stylists were kicked off the property, and clearly shaken from the Owner's unprofessional behavior coming at them. In my original planning and contracts for the wedding, I was told I could get ready on the property. After the property owner's breakdown, the entire wedding party now had to leave the venue to get ready, costing us more out of pocket expenses and making everyone in the bridal party late for the wedding, while our guests (some that flew over 2000 miles away) waited for us to arrive/start. In the contract we were supposed to stay in the Loft cabin on property that night, but after the Owner, Linda was yelling, cursing and receiving such poor treatment- we felt it was best to not stay there, ruining our wedding night honeymoon plans. This was supposed to be the most important day of my life but was marred by the owner's threats to call the police and her triggered behavior. I hope no couple ever has to experience what we did on their wedding day.
