A wonderful place to get all your Outdoor adventure things!!My husband and I have been customers for several years. Whether it is hiking, backpacking, climbing, camping, overlanding, or just outside fun. They have it all! A good selection of clothing for both men and women. If they are out of a size or sold out, they can order it for you and have it typically in a few days. Also, anytime we have found a better deal, they have priced matched. We have NEVER had a negative experience there and will continue to support this local Edmond business.Cheers to Your next adventure!

I love to visit local outdoor gear shops when I'm traveling. Native Summit just happened to be having a sidewalk sale today. Score! Got a great ultralight jacket at a fantastic price. The staff here are knowledgeable, very friendly and helped me pick out a packable daypack for running around town on trips without lugging the big pack around. I would highly recommend this shop. Support local businesses!

Great company. Owner and staff worked diligently to get my wife into a pack that she was comfortable with. They had to order three different packs and always put us first as costumers. Will continue to come here and look forward to attending some of their classes as well. Awesome store!!

Am I seriously the first person to review this place?! How can this be possible? Maybe it's the small footprint or the fact that it's tucked into tiny downtown Edmond. Either way, this is a real gem in Edmond. If you have the slightest interest in what we call the Outdoors, you've got to check out Summit Company. Think REI but about a 10th of the size. They carry most of the big brands like Marmot, Black Diamond, Arc'Teryx, North Face, MSR, Mountain Hardwear...etc.If you're in the market for camping, mountain climbing, hiking, skiing, or prepping for [Fill In the Blank] Apocalypse, this is the place to go. My only complaint is the size being relatively small. Be prepared to pay for good quality products. I really wish I just had more money to spend here. Private message me if you'd like to contribute to my camping fund.

Selection of hiking goods is great though very expensive. I paid 2/3 their cost for my meal can by GSI elsewhere. It is Edmond though. $$$$

Stopped in here the other weekend to check out their climbing gear - Despite their name, the amount of climbing goods they stock is really not much. (sigh) I do try to buy local, but sometimes the local stock falls short... However, the store does carry a bit of everything for your standard hiking / camping needs - They have everything from backpacks (including luggage-style travel packs) to camping utensils to clothing - If you're a fan of ExOfficio (which you should be), Summit has an impressive selection. This place reminds me of a smaller version of the Backwoods on May (before they culled their inventory). Fun place to visit!

I really like Summit Co.! They carry top quality brands and are a bit pricey. But their staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I've only been in a couple of times and they know my name. It's a pretty small little shop which I love. If you need camping, hiking, climbing, or other athletic gear, definitely check them out! Sure REI, Bass Pro and all those other giant stores are cool and impressive, but I really appreciate the service and attention to detail that I get at small local shops like Summit.

First, I normally don't write reviews. But felt my recent visits deserved this review. I wanted to buy my wife a winter coat for Christmas and began my search here. I entered the store within 10 minutes of closing and made a quick pass through the store. The staff offered to help me and answer all questions I had regarding the different jackets and didn't rush me out the door to go home. Then, I began looking online and at several big box stores to comparison shop. What did I find?I found jackets cheaper other places. But I never talked to a live person. If you want to talk to a knowledgable person regarding the technical merits of a particular item go to Summit. If you want to buy a jacket in this year's "hot" color, you're probably better suited shopping somewhere else. I was very impressed with the knowledge displayed by the 3 different staff people I talked to at Summit and would prefer their guidance rather than guessing. Sometimes bigger isn't better.
