National Weather Museum

I was in Oklahoma visiting my son and decided to stop in to the national weather Museum. Upon entering we could tell that the museum was not totally set up at this point. There was a few items that still needed to be properly set up. After we were met at the front desk a gentleman took us around to the lackluster exhibits. I can truly say this place is more of a joke then a museum. I am not sure how good it will be once I get this museum completed. They need to properly staff the museum with people know all about what is exhibited. I would not recommend this museum to anyone who wants a great experience. It was truly not properly set up or maned with a good staff that knew all about what was in this museum. Really not worth the money you have to pay.

A little small, but I can see a great future for this place. Lots of interactive activities from a practice green screen, old radar displays and thermometer collection, the camera Tim Samaras was working on, and a car that was found from the wreckage of the Moore tornado! There weren't many people in that day and the volunteer guide was helpful, but wished that he had spent less time explaining exhibits to us and let us walk around at our own leisure.

What a wonderful experience. A great museum to bring kids to, lots of cool exhibits and the staff was very informative and friendly. Will definitely be coming back.

Loved it the people were so nice and loved discussing the different things and cool facts about weather. Me and the staff liked talking about it and I was very happy by the end. Please go!

Such a great place to go on the weekends, with or without my kiddos! I have been a member for about a year now, and every time I go in, there is something new! The kids and I really love the green screen and virtual reality.

Great museum that has interesting information on weather and also some great items to look at. Well worth your time to check it out.
