Do not shop here unless you're wearing a ball gown. The ladies in this shop are nasty, uppity women who give dirty looks and pass judgement. The items in the shop are lovely and not horribly priced but is it worth it if you're glared at the entire time?

I always enjoy coming in here to browse. Some booths are super affordable while others make me laugh - no thank you I won't pay $475 for this lamp that I saw at homegoods last week for $80. The store has every kind of décor you could ever ask for. Classic to contemporary with some unique treasures. They also have an upstairs and another building in the back called the "annex" I believe? I might be wrong on the name but again some super cool finds one room in the back building has tons of Persian rugs which are a weakness of mine. This store definitely isn't a digging/craft type booth store. They all have super high quality and clean and they're all decorated fabulous which help you imagine things in your home. The staff Is friendly i'm always greeted hello and goodbye and I've never feeling followed or kept an eye on like some places do which is the most frustrating thing in the world!

It's light, bright, and airy here, not cluttered, dark, and foreboding. (So many old school antiques malls have the ambience of a Victorian funeral parlor, for f*ck's sake.)Friendly, helpful proprietress and employees. (What's with the handful of moaners and groaners here in Yelpland? Geez almighty. Some folks would bitch if ya hanged 'em with a new rope, I'm sure.)Janice in particular is always personable and helpful, and the rest of the staff I've met here just, well, couldn't be friendlier. Now, this IS a vendor mall, so expect changing styles from one area to another.Should you expect a flea market environment? NO. (If you want haggling and super cheap plastic trinkets, honey, I suggest that you go to a damn garage sale already. Yes, then you'll feel right at home if higgledy-haggledy is your game. You might also try Old Mary's Flea Market while you're at it, and that way you could score some Mexican-made switchblades, a couple of flea-bitten goats, and maybe even two or three grams of bathtub meth.)Is Mockingbird Manor EXPENSIVE? Not necessarily, no. (I for one find a lot of great buys here.)To wit, I just purchased a fantastic Steuben crystal paperweight for a whopping forty-eight bucks, and a wonderful Muranese vase for the princely sum of (!!!) thirty-two dollars. (Hardly what I'd call prohibitive prices!)I'm going back soon to buy some Sango dinnerware (yes, not necessarily "vintage," by any means, but cute as hell) in the hard to find "Retro Red" glaze. (It's all reasonably priced by the way, especially compared to both eBay and other online venues.)Parking along Western can be a bear -- that much is indisputable. (In other words, you might want to be prepared to park along an adjacent street.)Musashi is just steps away, as is Freeman's Liquor Store. VZD's is just down the street to the south, and Sushi Neko (one of my personal favorites) and The Drum Room (try the Brussels Sprout Salad!) are, as well. The awful construction mess on Western Avenue? It's mostly gone now, so don't expect the headaches you might have encountered on this stretch of Western just a year or two ago.Five solid stars for Mockingbird Manor!

This place is huge!! You could spend a very long time looking around. There's even an adjunct building with more stuff. Name it and it's probably in this place. Really cool place I'd recommend anyone to visit especially if your into vintage this, but don't fret if you're not because they also have enough modern items to keep you busy. I bought a nice watch that was on sale. I'll definitely going back soon.

If I was an interior designer and someone gave me a decent budget I could easily spend $5,000 here in an afternoon and come back with some really beautiful stuff that would make my customer's space look really elegant, tasteful and full of personality. On my budget I'll get a Cesca chair, a ring and an owl candle holder and call it a day.

Staff is pretty standoffish or downright unfriendly depending on who you deal with. Most of the stuff here is cheap home decor. A few nice pieces but the cluttered narrow alleyways throughout the old building make it nightmarishly challenging to really have a good experience. Also, be aware that you're on camera, and if you accidentally bump into something and knock it over, an over-coiffed, privileged old hag will hastily meet you with a derisive and disapproving scowl.

Two stars because the staff was friendly. If you don't mind paying extremely high prices for decor then this is the perfect place for you. For example, I spotted a beautiful large piece of natural coral that was 7 times higher than an exact match I found and bought on eBay. (I am not KIDDING! 7 times higher!) On the positive side, the store is merchandised well and laid out beautifully.

I absolutely adore this place. You don't have to "dig" through crappy antiques like you do at other stores, because everything here is EXCELLENT! It's curated with impeccable taste, and there is so much to look at. I felt like some things were overpriced, but you can negotiate unless the price tag says "firm." I could honestly spend a whole afternoon in here just oggling all the treasures. As soon as my next paycheck comes I'm going back!
