Mo' Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food

Great prices for the big portion sizes they give you. I love that and it's hard to find anymore. They have these delicious fruity fountain drinks that I absolutely love as well. Fun little casual spot.

Could have sworn I reviewed this place before but since then it might have gone under new management. Similar to what some of the other reviews have said, there just seems to be a change - not saying for better or for worse, but just different. I used to remember a cook grilling the meat fresh on the grill and you could smell whatever he was grilling right there but this time I didn't see anyone doing that (maybe in the back). I got the normal sized plate with pulahu chicken and teriyaki steak and although it was decent, some meat parts seemed cold but had already been cooked (maybe my hallucination). Also the spam musubi I got was pretty hard and did not seem too fresh. The POG (Passionfruit-Orange-Guava) juice was great though, as was the mac salad. Their spicy Mayo sauce was also excellent. Relatively spacious environs with outdoor seating as well. Maybe this place will spur other HawaiianBBQ joints and eventually OKC will get a L&L!

Why is it everytime I come they have attitude lately! Manager tag, brown red hair! Regular plate and no katsu sauce. Then attitude and says she barely found one! You would think your signature chicken katsu chicken you would have the sauce! Saturday at 1:30pm this is ridiculous then serve me old chewy chicken that's been sitting too long! Bull crap! I come once a week and this service and quality of food is a SHAME! Smh

My office had this catered. They forgot our teriyaki sauce but we somehow (after several long minutes) had sauce. The salad is seriously only lettuce and 2 tomatoes. The pork was amazingly delicious. I don't eat rice so I can't comment but it was white rice and brown rice. The pasta salad was bland but I added salt and pepper and ate it. The other meats looked equally appetizing and it's a ton of food. I give a 4 only because the pulled pork was that flavorful and tender.

Wow. I tried this restaurant for the first time today and was totally wowed. The attendant at the window was super sweet and helpful. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and kalua pig. Terrific flavor. So tasty. Portions were huge. I'll be back. I most definitely recommend Mo Bettahs.

I've heard a lot about Mo Bettahs! Especially the teriyaki chicken and steak, which was fire! So so good the sticky rice and cold macaroni salad delicious. I asked for extra sauce and I'm glad I did, it was very good. I'm still licking my fingers after eating so you know it's good. The location is easily accessible.Once you enter you smell the chicken on the grill. The dining area needed to be cleaned as it looks older but the outside eating area is an option. It was too hot to sit out so I took my food to go. I will compliment the staff as they started to get busy but continued with the great customer service

Got my food at room temp and had requested white rice instead of the salad and something so simple just CAN NOT be done.. employees have a hard time with simple tasks I guess. Not to mention the Manager seemed careless and refused to help me even though I had missing items and didn't get what I asked for substitute-wise. Almost $50 for a disappointing experience, like, what a joke. I will not be returning after I get my CORRECT meal and money back. Maybe a different location has better management and employees!

Some are good. Some are so salty you literally can't eat it. It's a crap shoot. Also different fishes at different time are WAY too salty.

Stopped in for lunch for the first time at this chain. The menu leaves a lot to be desired. I asked about a staple Hawaiian dish, Loko Moko, and received a blank stare, employee had no idea what it was. They claim to have a lot of choices but they truly don't, they offer chicken, pork or shrimp. Since I had rode with someone else I had no choice but to order. I ended up ordering the normal plate with Katsu Chicken and Kalua Pork. I added a medium drink and spam musubi which brought the bill to about $20. The chicken was overcooked, hard and cold, could not finish it. The pork, rice and Mac salad were good. The musubi left a lot to be desired, it's not a full seaweed wrap like other places, it's more like a belt and it seemed to me that the spam was sliced thin and folded. There was a decent crowd of people and you can dine outside. The table was dirty and the area behind the counter seemed messy. I'm basing my opinions off of dining in Hawaii, other Hawaiian bbq places and my Polynesian friends. I don't want the location to fail but I won't be returning.

What happened to this location? Customer service and food was top notch! Now everyone looks miserable and unhelpful, the food tasted chewy, rough and not fresh ( almost spoiled ) like leather hide. The portions downsized to dinky servings. The rice was hard and tasted like it had been sitting in the rice cooker for 3 days. So disappointed, used to always drive the extra milage to eat here. Go to the new Moore location, they are consistent and food is always fresh, delicious and amazing! Bummer this location has gone way off brand and downhill in terms of quality, consistency and service.
