Minh Man Jewelry

Arrived at 12:30pm on a Thursday and had to wait for the owner to open the inner door. I think I waited for a good two minutes. I was getting ready to call them but the owner came out. She had on an apron and the place smelled like food. I think she may have been cooking lunch in the back. I asked if I can get my battery watch replaced. She tells me to come back in 30 minutes because her husband just stepped out. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere. 1. Don't make me wait longer than five seconds to open your secured doors. Why do you have doorbells and security cameras when you are not even paying attention?2. Why would the husband step out in the middle of the day when he's the only one replacing batteries for watches? The business is advertised as the place to go to replace watch batteries.

Great jewelry and customer service. Very friendly lady at the counter. They have gold and white gold in many different styles. Will definitely buy again.

I went to this store to replace diamond's in my wife and my wedding rings and he and his wife were so nice to me, he replaced the diamonds in those two rings plus he put two diamonds of my own in two other rings of mine in less than 2 hours and cleaned all of them for me at a rather good price, just want to thank you so much, my rings look really good, and you will always have my business when I need to have work on my jewelry, thank sooo very much. I discovered Minh Man Jewelry when on a search for a watch battery in the Asian District/Uptown area before leaving town for 3 weeks. My initial choice was closed, so I consulted Yelp and found Minh Man listed and decided to stop in since it was on my way home. I am glad I did! It seems to be a husband and wife team who own the shop. She does the customer service end of things and he is the jeweler. They quickly replaced my watch battery while I waited and it only cost me $7. They had me out of there within 5 minutes! When I returned from our trip I took my husband back to Minh Man with me to get his wedding ring resized; it was a long overdue errand. His wedding band is complicated because it has several gaps and diamonds around the entire band, but Minh Man was up to the challenge and resized it for $20. For an additional $20 they gave his band an extra facelift by dipping it in rhodium. Now the ring looks brand new and fits to boot! They were able to do all this work in only 1 hour. It is obvious they take pride in their work and I am pleased with their prices and wait time. I am a repeat customer for sure.

I purchased a piece of jewelry and was charged over one hundred and some odd dollars for it. I wasn't given a receipt. Well the jewelry didn't work for me and I took it back for a refund and was offered under $40 for it. I was appalled and will never shop there again.

The best place for my watch batteries and repairs! Cash only. Their service is always fast and friendly. I even arrived on a day they were closed (I forgot the business is closed on Mondays) but they took care of my watch batteries since they happened to be there. I have come here for years, and even drive up from the Southside just to use them. Prices are lower than anywhere else I have found. I take everything from my Timex to ESQ/Movado for band adjustments, too.

At the end of February 2024 I took my 2 Solid Gold chains here to get it fixed. I paid for 2 solid Gold chains to get fixed and turns out they gave me 2 hallow gold chains. so I basically paid for them to switch out my chains. I went back up to Minh man jewelry and told them these are not the 2 solid gold chains that I originally brought into the building and minh man wife told me that these were my chains and I said yeah now they are because yall took my original chains and y'all refuse to give me back the chains that I brought in. They made the hallow gold chains the same pattern as my solid gold chains. They thought that I wouldn't notice. God bless their wicked souls for they know not what they do because they are of the world

Wife needed a battery in her watch. Took it to this place and $5 and 5 minutes later, I was on my way. They even cleaned it up a bit. That was several years back.... My memory is they are nice people with which to do business. Now my wife needs a battery in her watch again. I look this place up to see if they survived the COVID mess. I see Toan's review and think, "What an impatient little brat." Could it possibly have been lunch they were having? After all it was lunchtime. Could the owner take a break if he needed (during lunchtime) to get some business done, that needed doing?? Dude, you throw them under the bus for that? 1 star? Seriously, get a kinder and more patient life. It will be good for you and everyone you know.I will be stopping by in the next day or so to get her watch battery replaced. If there needs to be an update, I will share my thoughts.

I took a relatively expensive watch here on my break at work, and they replaced the battery pretty quickly while I waited. Quick service and no issues.
