Mimi's Restaurant

An old-fashioned diner. Homemade chicken fried steak and fresh veggies were great. I had a western omelette with hash browns. The hash browns were perfect with crispy top and soft potatoes underneath. The omelette was fine with all the fillings being fresh. We split red velvet cake for dessert. It too was homemade, with a great cream cheese frosting. The service was very good, with the server checking on us frequently, but never hovering.

This is a small town restaurant in downtown Paul's Valley. The folks are incredibly friendly, and the food was pretty good. They don't have a lot on the menu, but they do have specials, which is what I ordered - the turkey and stuffing. You get three sides; mine were carrots, green beans, and mashed potatoes. They provide you rooms or cornbread, and this dish was a dollup of cranberries. All of it was goods sans the stuffing. A little heavy on the sage, and the texture seemed off. My wife had the chicken fried steak sandwich and it was amazing. We would stop by and try other sandwiches.

The best breakfast in town. Friendly service and fresh food. Big portions, you won't leave hungry!

Small town feel. Home-cooked meals. Service with a smile. Generally very busy in the am as the biscuits are the best! Biscuits and gravy for me :)

I bet the food is good. But the service was so bad that we walked out. It's Christmas Eve and it wasn't busy. But it took 20 minutes to get seated. Then we never had any service. So, after 25 minutes we left. I will never go to Mimis again!

We love this place! Breakfast and lunch both are always awesome...as is the service! Be sure to check out the clocks the owners boyfriend makes too. Quite nice!

Very disappointed. I wanted to support local businesses but this place is absolutely awful. Not only was it hot and muggy inside but we waited so long for service while there was only two other customers... not let's talk about the food. I've never in my life has worse! I got a breakfast burrito with hash browns. The hash browns were not cooked, raw. The burrito hardly had anything in it it was compliantly flat, with just an egg and a pice of bacon. We waited 10 minutes for the bill but ended up having to go find the staff so we could pay to leave. Everything was baaaad.

Great food, the people are friendly. The service is excellent. We have been eating there for years. It has always been family-owned. The same family has owned it for years. My wife and I think the world of them. If you are in Pauls Valley it is the place to eat.

The food was excellent. Everything tasted like it was made from scratch. Good home style cooking. The service was very good and friendly. The ambiance was kind of back in the 60's. The prices are great.
