Metro Diner

This is my go to for a quick bite, but also they have the best fried chicken and waffles. Roscoe's, move over! Plus the delectable strawberry butter that comes with it standard - it's top notch. I usually swap out bone-in fried chicken for the tenders when I order it or just get the chicken tender plate. The green beans are so tasty!This is one of the few diners in the city that will cook your burger to the temperature you want. Not everyone wants a well done burger, if you know what I mean.My kid is obsessed with the chocolate cake they have for dessert. Rich and loaded with chocolate.The service is always friendly and helpful. We had an incident once where a teen could care less about doing anything right and he's not there anymore. ;) Ambiance is clean and simple, but cozy and inviting. It is extremely popular for breakfast, so be warned there will probably be a wait. They are open from 8 to 8. It's 10x easier to grab a table for dinner.

Delicious diner food, exceptional service and nice atmosphere in a spacious interior dining environment with many tables and booths! They serve excellent soups (their baked potato one was great) as well as salad (got their grilled chicken one and the chicken is cooked to perfection - very tender and goes well with the greens and carrots). Their fruit cup is also good. Highly recommended!

Yum!! Smells good. My friend recommended this..one of his favs. Service was tops. Our server had a great attitude and several people stopped by during our meal including "how's your food?" Absolutely worth the stop.

Had an amazing experience at Metro tonight! It has a cute homey vibe. Stopped in for a quick bite, had a chicken caesar salad and a side of onion rings. The onion rings were lightly battered and very fresh. Caesar was refreshing and chicken was fresh and juicy. Talia gave me AMAZING service, she was so personable and friendly. I will definitely be back for breakfast next time!

The Metro Dinner is a classic! Amazing food! Breakfast all day plus delicious lunch/brunch and appetizers. I had an amazing omelette! It was full but not stiffed! It was just right! I could sub out the potatoes for fruit. I like the flexibility. The same staff is super helpful and nice. Stop in and you'll be so glad you did!

The Metro dinner has long been a Northside favorite so we decided to test it out today. Our party ordered the roasted turkey plate, a grilled cheese sandwich, a chicken salad sandwich and side salad, and the fish & chips. Everyone agreed that the overall quality was top notch. The grilled cheese sandwich got a very tasty thumbs up from our pickiest fussbudget. The fish & chips guy said "the fish gave Long John Silvers a run for their money. The roasted turkey plate got a big thumbs up with an extra thumbs up for the mashed potatoes and gravy. The chicken salad sandwich was just scrumptious. We see why everyone was raving about the Metro dinner. This will become one of our regular haunts.

We were longing for a lil late breakfast and since our usual spots were already closed by 2, we opted for Metro Diner. The food was just okay...a bit too bland for me, but the crossaint French toast was pretty tasty.The steak in the steak and eggs bowl was a bit tough and not seasoned, so I had to add hot sauce for flavor. Also had to add table salt to the side of cheese grits we got, which I never use at restaurants.Other than that the service is great, but don't expect great food.

I took a friend who was from out of state to try out this intriguing menu for Sunday brunch. I had the fried chicken eggs benedict, and they were amazing. The place was packed, so our waitor was stretched a little thin, but still super nice. I'll definitely go back.

This place makes ihop look like a McDonald's. Top notch down to earth genuine authentic food. Our server Gabby needs a raise cause of her top notch service. Our food was out quicker than a drive thru. I would have taken food pics but by the time I did it was already in my stomach haha. And for a family of 5 during prime breakfast hours on a Saturday they got us seated quick. If you haven't been here make it happen. Worth every penny!

We went out for Sunday brunch and had a great experience. Every dish we tried was delicious and the coffee was fresh and hot. Our server was attentive and the atmosphere was bright and friendly, with just the right amount of noise. We'll be back to see what else is delicious!
