Mesquite Canyon Steakhouse

The waitress was great. The food needs a LOT of improvement. The hot sauce was rancid. The waitress tasted it also and threw it out. Enchiladas were some conglomeration rolled into a tortilla, not impressed. Maybe it was a the rancid, rotted and old hot sauce that ruined my opinion or it could have been all the food. Not much meal offerings in Shamrock but I'd suggest Hasty Burger anytime you stop in that town.

Wife's steak was overcooked. Came out like shoeleather. My steak was fine. was there around 4:30 and there was only one couple in there, so the kitchen was not busy. Typical western decor inside.

This Steakhouse in Shamrock, TX was a surprise. Hubs had a crispy chicken fried steak that was tender and had that beefy Texas meat flavor. The home made white gravy topped off the CFS perfectly. My small sirloin was prepared exactly as ordered and was tender, juicy and flavorful. Texas beef on both entrees were delicious. Our server was attentive and West Texas friendly. It was a great find in a small town.

An oasis in the Texas panhandle. We were traveling through on vacation and did not want fast food. This is not your white linen fancy place with an extensive wine list. It's just a local place that does its' best to serve good food. My wife had the steak and loved it. I had the shrimp and it was good. Reading other reviews, I wish I tried the chicken fried steak. Place was clean. Staff and other customers were friendly. Just a nice place to stop for eats.

Fajitas are great here and the chicken salad! The back patio has a nice view while enjoy lunch or dinner. Can't go wrong with several of the food options!

10/10 good service & fresh food. Came out hot. Nice view in the back. Would come back again if I ever visit shamrock.

It took 15 minutes for drinks and an additional 15 to get our drinks and our order taken. And over an hour and a half for our actual food to come out. It seems if you are not a local your food will be put off for a while. Plus, one of our plates of food was barely warm.

The food eas great - save room for dessert. We are traveling with our dog and they were very accommodating for her to join us at our table in her enclosed stroller.

Food is amazing and service is very good and very clean I love this place no matter if it's 10min before they close they will still serve u withvand smile

We were traveling so thought burgers would be faster to order. I requested the green Chile burger with onion rings. Onion rings were a nice sized portion and hand battered. Burger was a bit disappointing as it was supposed to come with pepper Jack cheese but had American cheese. I would have preferred the green chilies had a little kick. On a heat scale of 1-10 A rating of 1 would be pushing it. The bottom bun was soggy. Why places don't toast the bottom bun I don't know. You won't have to ask where's the beef Food was good overall but plan on waiting a while to get your food and check.
