It's worth the drive and worth the wait in line for a table. I believe this is the best burger in Oklahoma. The peach cobbler with homemade ice cream is exceptional. It's great for sharing because it is large. The history in this place is so cool. It's a really old building and might feel like it will collapse soon but I trust that it is sturdy enough. They serve their coke in large mason jars. Just a unique experience and a great burger!

I had to take Meers rating down 2 star but maybe just a bad day today.First they have a section of table being used to display tribal item for sale.We seated immediately, so not crowded today.Ordered our usual Seismic hamburger. This time still too pink inside for me. Guess should of ordered well done.It definitely is changing everytime we come.We ordered desserts of our favorite cherry cobbler and ice cream. Cobbler really good ! The bowl of ice cream came out 3 small scoops. It used to be home made and came out Hugh bowl full. When we asked, said machine broke and no idea if getting fixed. Such a disappointment!Hamburger by itself, not sure worth the drive !Service not the best either!I used to preach how good it was. Sorry to say, not anymore.

TLDR: Atmosphere is unique. Food portions are large. Food quality is average at best. Service was good. First. If you have never been. It's worth stopping by. The building is historic and is certainly unique. Try to take a marker. The walls are covered with customer signatures. You also want to see the old seismic machine. Sadly it's just a display now. I recall watching it working in my childhood. We always collects the souvenir pennys. They have a one of those old school penny smashers. So take two quarters and a penny for each of the kiddos. The food is fair at best on my repeated visits over the years. The portions are large and unique. But the quality is lacking. The onion rings were probably frozen out of a bag. The grease used for their rings needed changed. But eating out of metal pie plates and drinking out of mason jars. This trip was interesting because it was a cold night prior (25). But quickly warmed to 47 that morning. However they clearly chose to skip on the utilities. It was so cold in the restaurant. Everyone had their coats on. The waitress even had a stocking cap on.

We were on a road trip and made it to Meers to enjoy their famous cheeseburgers. We arrived on Saturday a little after 2pm and there was no wait. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and seated at a table in the back room. The waitress greeted us and offered to take our drink order. We had waters then each had their 8 oz. Cheeseburger. We shared an order of fries and an order of onion rings. The service was excellent!! Burgers were great, and onion rings were also great. Fries were good (just a little too pricey for what you got). The cobblers looked great, but we were too stuffed from the burgers. All in all a good stop! We recommend trying it at least once if you're from Oklahoma...but just be sure to have plenty of cash to pay as it's cash only.

A trip home to Southwest Oklahoma is not complete without a meal at Meers in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. Our party of four arrived at 11 AM on a Friday to ensure getting a table and not having to wait outside in the scorching OK summer heat. We were seated right away and greeted promptly by Crystal who began our service with a history lesson about Meers. We told her we've been coming here since the 70s so we are all too familiar with Meers. It's usually dirty and hot in here, but this visit was surprisingly clean and climate controlled. Everyone was comfortable. Tribal items were on display for sale in an adjacent dining area and I found this very cool. Perfect place for this. I ordered the Meers Cheeseburger - no pink. I can always count on Meers for cooking my burger to order and they did so this visit. It was perfectly cooked through and delicious with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. One of us got the Seismic burger. Also cooked through even though they don't care. It was huge! I ate a quarter of it, plus my cheeseburger! Stop me! Very tasty rings and fries - enough to share between four people. The grand finale (and part I had been dreaming about until the day came) - PEACH COBBLER WITH HOMEMADE ICE CREAM. OMG. As always, it was peachy perfect, and the two mounds of ice cream were huge. I usually share this with another person, but not today. I was all in. Oh, Meers, please remain forever. You're a huge part of my childhood and still a reason I love to go "home."

First time in Lawton and I was surprisingly amazed by this "little" hole in the wall. Not quite little but you do have to wait beyond a chain to get seated. Took about 5 min for someone to recognize we were waiting to be seated. It's a pretty spacious spot with a lot of "watch your step" signs. Be careful. Look down while navigating through the spot. Alright, to the food, delicious! Buttery burgers! I am not sure that they advertise as smash burgers but they are. All good! You'll love them. The onion rings were light with regards to the batter. Cheese curds are best eaten fresh. The 8oz burger was so filling that I took the cheese curds leftover home. Not quite the same the next day! Definitely a hidden gem. My boyfriend used to dine there as a kid and recommended it. I don't blame him! Ps.. their sweet ice tea is amazing!

It's been years since I've been here, but it did not disappoint!! We stuffed ourselves, but it was so worth it! The servers were super friendly and there's such a fun Oklahoma ambiance about the place. Cash only! You have to try the cobbler if you can make room at the end

Some 50 years after my first Meers burger, I returned after a morning of hiking in the nearby Wichita National Wildlife Refuge. My sisters and I waited in line for 20 minutes, using the time to scan the graffiti-rich walls. The wait was definitely worth it! My sisters split a plate-size, 16-ounce Seismic Meersburger; I opted for an 8-ounce Meers cheeseburger. The monster burgers--made from from Meers' own herd of pasture-raised longhorn cattle--were perfectly grilled with a fantastic crust. They were accompanied by onion rings, fried okra and french fries. No complaints with service--the servers were attentive and congenial. Our only regret--no room for dessert! While it's highly unlikely that we'll find ourselves anywhere near Meers in the foreseeable future, I'm grateful for this opportunity to share the Meers experience with family members!

The server and ambiance were great. The burgers are good but I expected better due to the hype. Great place for the ambiance though!

Ordered 2, 4 oz burgers, one with fries and one with onion rings and drinks. They were served on metal pie pans. The pie pans were frozen, therefore the meal was cold when we got it. Our order was taken by one person and our ticket was made out by another. We were charged for the Meers burgers and not the 4oz burgers. It came to $24.15 for one and $23.15 for the other. (Onion rings are $1 more). Service was slow. I am 79 years old and have been going here since I was in grade school. I am very disappointed. We were charged way too much for what we got. I feel bad about it but we will not be going back.
