First off, this is a cool place to visit. The bar is absolutely stunning and reminiscent of a Wild West Saloon. Our booth was comfortable and our server was super knowledgeable and made great recommendations. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin medium rare. It actually arrived more at a medium, but I ate it anyway. It was super tender and full of flavor! The Mac n cheese was delicious, with an unexpected bit of heat - maybe jalapeño? Instead of a salad, I paid the up charge for their Brussels sprouts. They were perfectly cooked. My friend ordered the blackened salmon and it was just Ok. We enjoyed our meal but the star was the dessert. The bread pudding was served with caramel, fresh strawberries and blueberries and we opted for a scoop of vanilla on top. It was absolutely delicious. I'll be back.

Capital D disappointed. Our first time here. Made reservations to celebrate our anniversary tonight. We were looking for an upscale place to have a special evening. Our server was slow to come to the table and very uninterested in helping us.We ordered a strip steak and fried chicken. I have had steaks at Western Sizzlers that were 5 times better than this. I honestly could not cut the steak it was so tough. I left half of it uneaten. I ordered onion strings which were not even room temperature.Couldn't complain because our server never came back. Someone from the kitchen brought the food out. She only came when it was check time and even that seemed to be an imposition for her.I have never had a steak so tough. This kind of dampened our celebration. We were sure disappointed.

Assumed McClintock would have decent food being in the middle of the Stockyards and across from Cattleman's, but definitely came up lackluster during a visit for lunch. Overall the ambience of the place, more specifically the bar area in front, had a good ambiance that is what I would have expected. The service was tepid at best. We were seated in the far back corner by the kitchen entrance even though the main dining area had very few people seated for lunch. The person pouring water dropped multiple ice cubes on the table and simply remarked that he guessed the ice didn't want to stay in the glass before walking off with the ice still on the table without returning. We then had to ask the server several times if he could wipe off the melting ice even after he himself had noticed it. The service was relatively inattentive throughout and he could barely even be located for a refill despite being seated near the kitchen entrance. The food itself was relatively bland and uninspired despite seeming some strong short clearly having been put in to crafting the menu. We ordered angel hair onions as an appetizer, a monte cristo with sweet potato fries, a luncheon sirloin with au gratin potatoes and a salad, and chicken fried steak quail with au gratin potatoes and a salad. Out of everything, the best reactions seemed to only be to the monte cristo (which was far more heavily a donut than a traditional monte cristo) and the au gratin potatoes (which were a bit undercooked), which itself seems telling for a "chop house" meal. The final lunch bill, excluding tip, for three was over seventy dollars for a relatively disk disappointing meal and experience. In short, I get the impression they may be first and foremost a bar that happens to also want to think of itself as a chop house because of where they are located. Fair enough as I am sure that is where the money is at as the bar area had a decent number of people drinking during lunch for a Friday.

Food was seasoned perfectly. Steak cooked to perfection. Service and waiter were very polite and attentive . Waited no longer than 20 minutes for meal. Establishment was clean and loved the cowboy homage the restaurant gave. Will return to try brunch in the future. No complaints

Tried again but ordered lunch instead this time. Service was soooo slow but they did put the Thunder game on for us when we asked. The chicken livers were good. The stockyard burger was not medium. It was very very medium rare. I couldn't eat much of it. The sweet potato fries were awful. So thin there was no potato, just skin. Inside is still very saloon like, which we enjoyed. But up the service and food quality please.

We were wanting steak and since they took reservations and several friends had recommended this place we decided to give it a try. Located in the stockyards and with street parking this place is easy to find. The atmosphere is definitely old west saloon. The place was predictably busy for a Saturday so I was glad we had reservations. My wife got the filet and I got the ribeye. The steaks were good nothing special. I rate it above TRH but not an outstanding steak by any means. The sides were good. The greens beans had a great seasoning and lots of flavor. This place was average I honestly expected more based on recommendations and the fact they are a steakhouse. I would go back but with appropriate expectations.

Honestly just not impressed by this place. We came not long ago when Cattlemen's was too full (womp, womp) before seeing a show at Rodeo Cinema. We sat at the bar which was our first mistake. There were two bartenders, one of which was having way too long of conversations with another couple at the bar, completely ignoring the other people. We had to get the other bartender's attention because he didn't notice that she wasn't taking care of her end of the bar. Clearly they don't work well as a team. The food is not worth the money but not quite bad enough for 1 star. You can get better food and service at many other places. I don't see us coming back here.

I've been telling my wife about the lunch menu for quite sometime and finally decided it's time to take her. The menu has several good options but the only thing she wanted to eat was the steak. We are arrived fairly early ~1115 so I knew they wouldn't be busy and we're were seated immediately. Waiter arrived promptly and provided waters for each. We ordered the Cajun Crab Dip for appetizer which came with toast points and a chip similar to a tortilla. The Crab Dip was very good and the chips were the better option for this dip. Side salad served with their homemade blue cheese dressing, excellent. I prefer a cold bowl for a salad which is one recommendation I would suggest. Each of us chose the Sirloin Steak, cooked to a medium rare + and it turned out perfect. My side was scallop potatoes, my wife had a baked potato. To be honest the lunch took much longer than I would have expected! I would not have liked to arrive after we did and expect quick service. Maybe just a weird day for them. Our waiter was excellent and apologized for the delay. Our waiter suggested the Creme Brulee - was not disappointed.Overall this was a great deal for lunch and I would highly recommend! The setting seemed like a bar from the old west! Paintings above the bar were unique and added to the overall experience.
