Maxey's Steakhouse

I am thankful to have such a great restaurant next to my hotel when I stay in Wheeler for business. Maxey's is a lovely place with a great salad bar and their grilled zucchini has the number one spot in my mind when I think of what I want to eat. I've had many different items and every one of them were wonderful without fault. I personally recommend the Maxey Special with Peach Cobbler for dessert. Everyone is very nice and it has a great down home feel to it.

In wheeler since 1984. Maxeys special is my favorite get it medium rare. Chicken fried steak is also one of the best you'll eat anywhere. And the service is fantastic

Good steak fingers and enjoyed the asparagus and side of zucchini. Great prices, it was about $12. Overall good decent meal. Nice staff too.
