I'm a 57 year old AF veteran, and am on 2 memory medications plus a few others. Yes I missed an appointment. We all do from time to time. This is the first time a place has ever charged me!!! Seriously? Your going to steal $45.00 from me because I missed my appointment? It's not a lot of money, that's not the point. For me it's the principle of their policy. Taking money for nothing. People missing appointments is part of doing business. I agree with others on here. Maybe it's just the front desk personnel? It was my first missed appointment. Care was good. So "Massengale Eye Care" in Moore Oklahoma, poor business policy! You're willing to lose $1,000's in repeat customer care to get your $45 missed appointment fee, real good business practice!!! I went in and explained to them my opinion and paid their BS charge

You know it is impressive when someone all the way in California takes the time to write a review. Dr. M is actually quite a good doctor that is being held back by his HIGHLY unprofessional front desk staff. I am not sure where in the customer service they teach you to hang up on clients, call them a liar (yes she called my dad a liar), and interrupt them in a tone not fit for a death row inmate. It makes me question whether Dr. M is checked out as it is confusing how staff behaviors can be so overlooked. Her behavior will be reported to the BBB, and anywhere else I can make it known. Dr. M, if you read these you may want to work to hire new staff who remember what Oklahoma hospitality is and who are welcoming to YOUR patients. You know, the ones that keep your business going? There are many reviews on here citing negative experiences with your front office personnel. That is worth looking into and should lead to write ups and terminations.

I made an appointment for myself and three children. All four eye exams were completed and we were on our way in less than 2 hours time. This office has the Optimap to look inside your eye in lieu of getting your eyes dilated with the drops. It's a $30 surcharge and so worth it!! The staff was friendly and accommodating to our group. I wear contacts and have astigmatism so I'm still trying to find the brand that is most comfortable, and they have given me plenty of time to try as many pairs and brands as needed. I have a follow up in a week to keep trying.

These guys are awesome! Dr. Massengale is all business, but exceptionally thorough and patient. I have Crohn's/UC and it effects my eyes. I wouldn't trust my eyes with anyone else. I went to another eye doctor last year and while he was good, Dr. Massengale is more through and has a specialist on hand to deal with special issues. They have a wide variety of glasses to choose from. The assistants helping him are also very astute and knowledgeable about the profession. They do so much! I would recommend him to anyone and have! My family members come here now. They really like this office also. New year! Use that insurance and get your eyes checked. You only have one set of eyes!

Ok. Normally I don't write reviews but this was frustrating beyond belief. I have always been told great things about this place from my friend who has been going here for years. I also like the small business feel (which is why I gave one of the stars. The other is for the girls at the front that were sweet to me). That's when it stopped. One lady (Jennifer I believe) who seemed to be having a bad day or something took me to get my eyes dialated. She said she put two many drops in my right eye but then proceeded to tell me (in so many words) that it was my fault for moving!!!!! Really!? Since when do we blame the customer? She then tried to talk her way out of it by bragging about all of her awards she has won at this place and that she is Dr. Massengales right hand man (or woman I guess). Really any place that supports this kind of attitude and rewards it will not get my business.

I trust Massengale Eye Care clinic because I trust Dr. Masengale. We've been going to the clinic for over 23 years, and the quality of their work and the service we've received has been spot-on. Thanks to Dr. Masengale's expertise, he discovered something in my wife's left eye. He immediately referred her to a neuro-ophthalmologist, and thankfully, they found a pseudo tumor that was treated promptly, giving it a chance to disappear during treatment. Our daughters, my wife, and I are grateful that he and his team have always taken excellent care of us with respect and professionalism.We don't recommend them just because we like them; it's because we have confidence and trust in their approach to eye care.

Had an appointment on 12 Feb ordered glasses was told they would arrive in two weeks; no calls nothing its now the 4th of March still no glasses so called Massengale eye care they still have not arrived! So, I asked to cancel them to be told that i would need to pay 50% cancel fee even though i have not received them. Very unhappy seems deceitful practices. Not my fault their subcontractor can't fill an order in prescribed timelines! Be my last appointment here!

MAD! I have been using Doc for YEARS, but this year, someone else in his office did my exam. I told her the WHOLE WAY that it was blurry, she said it was fine and that I just had dry eyes, even made me buy eye drops. So, I picked out glasses and lenses and they arrived. Low and Behold... they are blurry. So I call, I tell them my Rx is wrong and they are blurry, as I told the girl that did the exam... I relocate in less than a week to another state. I said I just want my money back unless they can be fixed and here by Friday. They say "we don't do refunds, the insurance company holds us liable" PLEASE... VSP is a discount plan.... PLUS .... I PAID FOR A SERVICE THAT YOU DID NOT FULFILL.....I will update if they make good.... but for now.... I am ANGRY.

This might be me being a overprotective daughter. My mom has been going to Massengale for a very long time, and even my grandma went there before she passed. However I do not see the reasoning to write this on her chart, especially after checking her weight on the box as "slight". Seems unnecessary and because it's just an eye Dr. - is that comment necessary? Is my mom even SUPPOSE to be able to see her charts? Leaves room for questioning. This left my mom feeling really sad and especially someone who is on a weight loss journey. To me it's unprofessional for her to have seen this in the first place and a completely unnecessary comment.
