Mahylon's

Took a suggestion from a coworker who used to live in Muskogee and he said he would come here when he was younger. This place did not disappoint!The waitresses were spot on and friendly. We were quickly seated and ordered our drinks. They were not much selections with regards to appetizers so I ordered fries & onion rings. The onion rings were great however, at $7.59 I'm not exactly sure of the price, but they were exactly what I wanted in an onion ring.I chose the Two Meat Combo, Turkey & Chopped Brisket w/Potato Salad & Cole Slaw. Both meats were delicious and the Cole Slaw was a true hit! The Potato Salad was also good.Everyone in the group liked what they got so a big shout out to Mahylon's for the excellent lunch.Even I was checking out thy the waitress days she had been working there for 27 years! Then she began to tell me dinner off the highlights on the menu. I wish I had the opportunity to go back and try them. Who knows I may just take a day trip up to grab lunch week my wife!My recommendation is if you are in Muskogee or just passing through and love barbecue this is a must try!!!

We met family there and had a nice after-Christmas visit. Friendly service and didn't feel rushed to leave. The food was great and just what we needed(being native Texans living in Oklahoma)!

Mahylon's has a definite following in Muskogee. I've had it a few times over the years, but I have to say, I just don't prefer it to other barbecue and steak choices in town. The food is good, and I would say that the steak is better than the barbecue selection. But it's quite expensive compared to other options for steak and barbecue. Ribs were cooked very tender, but the membrane wasn't removed and they lacked seasoning and flavor. The chicken fried steak is battered in what I would consider not the right type of batter for a chicken fried steak. It was more of a tempura or beer kind of batter versus fried chicken style batter that's typically used. It was also a bit over fried for me. The sides are tasty! And portions are large. Our waitress was very nice. And the inside is clean and welcoming. It's the type of place that if a group of friends want to go, I'll go. But I wouldn't choose it on my own over somewhere else for dinner. I've heard they have great brunch, so maybe I'll try it out!

We came here for dinner, was attracted by the reviews. I was enjoying the different choices on menu and all specials sounded delicious I choose the pork and I was not disappointed, it was cooked perfectly and the potato was just right. My friend had the 22oz bone in ribeye, that was amazing and he enjoyed it it. The only quarm was it was a little undercooked. Would also recommend the restaurant take off the foil before serving the potato. Dessert sounded amazing with many choices, I was too full to try Service was on point and polite.

Ribs and sauce really really good. Tx toast 5 star. Banana Pudding was a top ten favorite. Pit cook responsibile for briskets must just not care.

Absolutely fantastic in every aspect. Great food (loved the ribs, but the "Rex Earl" salad is a must try - named after a legendary lawyer Rex Earl Starr). Service was wonderful. You will notice they seem to know all the customers that were coming in the door, which is a great sign of the loyalty they earned and the staff's attention to details. This is a special place. I will be back every time I'm in Muskogee.

Always delicious and service with a smile. I've never had anything that wasn't great. You won't have room because of the large portions but get dessert to go! This is a Muskogee favorite!

We are frequent flyers here. I honestly know they don't need any changes. The food has been fresh when we visit each time. Fresh served food is a big deal in this town due to the "chained establishments" have fallen down hill right along service, quality, quantity, and variety. The servers here know how to treat you as a welcomed guest. I recommend the sliced brisket plate, with a garden side salad, and baked potato. Yes, the other food options are just as great, imo... A smoked hot link with a baked potato, or potato salad. Try a chicken wrap. My husband enjoys the smoked sliced turkey plate, gets his with double fries. Sweet tea is usually a plus each visit. The experience and the classic rock music gives you a good feel. I don't know what it is, but that classic rock just sets the ambiance like your back on the lake. See y'all there!

This is a local staple and I think nostalgia keeps them going. I've been twice since moving to Muskogee about 6 years ago. The service has always been decent but the food, particularly the BBQ isn't my jam. Portion sizes were as expected.

My wife & I visited for the first time the above mentioned restaurant & we have to give it thumbs up in quality, service & ambiance. The brisket was awesome & the side dishes were also very good. Looking forward to a second visit.Carlos & Candy. Tulsa, OK
