I have to give this place five stars despite the facility being a little old just because it is an AMAZING gym for women! Everything from the child care to flexibility and safe location make it ideal for women to work out without having to worry about safety or convenience. It's a great place for someone looking to get into a regular fitness routine, meet new friends, or unwind in a low-stress environment. If you are a single mom looking to choose just one gym membership, I think this is the best gym home in OKC due to their low-cost childcare, wide variety of classes, and the fact that they cater to women only. Anytime I found myself needing to get in a workout but not having childcare, this was my go-to spot. If you're a beginner, there's a lot of support for learning how to use equipment and with finding workout classes that fit your schedule. There's also a great community vibe and plenty of water aerobics for seniors or those looking to work out outside of the gym rat culture. Plus, no worries about dudes staring/videoing or creepy men. This gym has everything- pool, sauna, steam room, toning tables, weight and cardio equipment- you name it. The only issue is that some of the machines were old and/or not well-maintained. The last time I visited, they were making updates but I'm not sure what the equipment situation is currently. I mostly went for the pool, sauna, and toning tables, which never had any issues. For serious athletes, this is a great place to go for recovery but I didn't use it for hard training workouts or as my primary gym. The laid-back atmosphere, pool/sauna amenities, and toning tables make it great for loosening up tight muscles and getting in a bit of recovery movement without having to pay additional fees. The older equipment can be frustrating for the more serious athlete, but I'd highly recommend this place for those just looking to stay active and fit in a positive environment.

We were members on two separate occasions, with about a year separating the two times. Both times we were led to believe that the equipment would be maintained, and it was not. Both times we had to deal with same-sex women trying to hit on my daughter and myself or one or the other of us, and we told the people we were straight. Both times the management refused to do anything about it, claiming they were inclusive. OK, but they were sexually inappropriate and we were not interested in the advances. Both times we were told that the hours would be lengthened soon on the weekends and they were not. All in all it is an AVERAGE (at best) gym. The pool and sauna were always dirty or in need or repair. BARELY sustainable. They charge $49.50 a month, which is nearly double what Gold's Gym charges.

I've been a member here since September 2017, and this is my kind of a gym. Other places I've been in the city are filled with the sounds of clanging weights and a feeling of being in the way as bros wait on squat racks to open. Mademoiselle is a low-key, encouraging environment filled with women who just want to stay active. Most of the members here are women from 30-80 years old, so you don't get that intense lift-all-the-things vibe that so many gyms put out. Everyone I've spoken with has been encouraging, and no one is offended if you just want to plug in your earbuds and have a silent workout. There are two small things I wish would improve. Mademoiselle does not open until noon on Sundays, but I'd like to see earlier hours so I can knock out a workout early in the day. There are plenty of machines available, but some are missing pins or the numbers for the weight amounts have worn off, making it difficult to evaluate progress.Overall, I am happy with my membership here and would encourage any of you ladies to try it if you, like me, hate traditional gym culture.

This is the best gym for women. Always smiling faces. The staff is awesome. Very helpful if you have questions about the equipment. It's women only so no worries about making sure your makeup looks good while your sweating your arse off. So many different classes that you can take from floor aerobics to belly dancing classes. They have the tanning beds and toning tables. They have a track for walkers for those who do not want to hit the treadmills.

This place is the worst. I was lied to when signing up she told me I would be able to cancel no problem it would just be a couple of fees and then I find out I don't have very much time to go because I have to watch my son and I try to cancel and now they are saying I can't cancel because in the agreement I signed it says you can't cancel before a year. These women do not care about you they just want your money. All of the machines are practically broken and it's disgusting in there. Don't even bother checking it out you will be disappointed.

Loved this gym in Edmond, OK. All the equipment fit my female frame perfectly, the staff was great, it was clean. Overnight they emptied the building and pulled out no word or reimbursement to anyone. It was called Mademoiselle on 15th and Boulevard in Edmond. Maybe this place is the same or the name slightly different. Would never buy an annual membership but would go on a daily basis.

As a gym they are okay for my 1-day visit. The pool is small, and it appears that renting a locker or any extra services are sold a la carte. I was quoted $50 to join and $30 per month on the phone.I went into try it out for a day, I have been looking for a good gym close to home at a good value. I don't need tanning or toning. When I went in to fill out paperwork, a woman out in the gym mentioned they give a "discount" when one shows health insurance information, show I did. When I walked into the office excited to enroll, there was a sign on the window that read:ENROLLMENT $150 MONTHLY FEE $40 - I have no idea how old this sign was/is... but I have a suspicion this is the top number they strive for as salespeople. A membership fee of $51.19 (not just $50) was crossed out on a pink piece of paper in front of me, and then the $30 was changed to $39 and change. I asked why the amount jumped up like that, and was told this was the fee charged by the bank to automatically debit it from my bank, and also "sales tax".I texted my CPA about this (why tax a service as opposed to a tangible good in this state?) and she said it sounded fishy, so I told the woman who was attempting to sign me up for a 1-yr or 2-yr contract I would rather wait. She said "That's fine, I will just TAKE YOUR MATERIALS AND PUT THEM IN THE SHREDDER." No offer to hold on to them for me for even 10 minutes to perform due diligence while the gym was virtually empty on a weekday. Maybe I am being callous and thinking she has nothing else to do and holding the paperwork at her desk is taking away from wiping sweat off machinery or something. My CPA called me back and said unless the laws have changed or there exists a special code for something at their gym, it would just depend on what was being *sold* to me, and it would be understandable if it were fitness supplements, clothing, drinks, or other items. When I called the Oklahoma Tax Commission after getting home, they took the name of the business and they said they had it listed as a "tanning salon" and that is why they charge sales tax. While personally not wanting to tan at this site, I have used multiple tanning salons in the past (to the detriment of my skin) and never have the management or staff become defensive over a price objection the way this happened today. The person attempting to sell me a packaged began listing off names of other gyms saying "IF WE ARE BREAKING THE LAW THAN THIS PLACE IS AND THAT PLACE IS TOO!" When I was asking for clarification over the fees written in the fill-in-the-blank contract presented to me. The Oklahoma Tax Commission on the other hand has never been friendlier, the rep even almost sold me on his gym explaining their staff would never condescend to someone over fee explanations like that! This would have been a great opportunity to educate a potential member of Mademoiselle's clientele on a broader spectrum of services, but frankly, I am afraid to return because of the way I was treated on the way out, when I simply was hesitant to sign away a year of part of my income over fees that were not fully explained to me.The reason for my 2-star rating? I have indeed experienced better gyms. The pool at this one claims an occupancy of 30 but I think they include the hot tub with that number because it is quite small and only 4 ft deep.

Going now for over a year and enjoy it. UPDATE as of Sept 2015. Still going a few times a week. Like the new equip. And the indoor track but, I have lost most of my weight in the pool. As the cold weather is coming I like to know I have a heated pool anytime I want it. I have lost 78lbs since I started. I am still over 200 but I am getting there. I will repost as time goes on.
