Small museum but nice! Didn't get to see all of it because we came for the mummies! They had so many activities and things to do that we didn't get any further but we made a day of it and had a great time!

Small, But Some World Class Museum Items I still can't believe I got to see a real mummy! And then real shrunken heads...in Oklahoma! This is a small, but amazing collection. The museum also has a good collection of other Egyptian artifacts. It has a first-class collection of art (paintings, sculpture, and pottery), cultural art and historical artifacts. It is well worth the time and it is free!

This one won't be a long review. Just a simple one saying this place is aweosme. I love Egyptian art and history and this place has 3 mummys. Beautful and simply amazing. It's a small building and has a tiny gift shop. Friendly staff and you can take pictures in some of the areas. Just don't use your flash.

I first visited this museum in 2004, and I've been coming back ever since. The star of the museum is an Egyptian mummy named Tutu. You'll see art spanning a huge time--from ancient Egypt to present day. If you've never been here, you'll be surprised how stunning everything is.Def a must see if you're visiting Shawnee.

A hidden gem in Shawnee! A world-class collection of modern, classical, and non-western art. Historical artifacts from all over the world including two Egyptian mummies! You can even see the reconstruction of Tutu's face! The big deal is art education. This museum hosts 18,000+ school children every year! Great events and great people!

What a great gem in the middle of Oklahoma. Take some time to talk to the attendant at the front desk. There was a very nice gentleman there when we went and he was able to give us a little more information about the museum and Fr. Gerrer. Only thing- I totally forgot to get a postcard!!!

Awesome museum! The collection covers a wide range of styles and time periods. It has some unique artifacts that you can't find in most museums (an Egyptian mummy!). We spent about an hour there and enjoyed every minute. I would highly recommend this to anyone who's in the area.
