Loads of seafood choices doesn't begin to describe the menu at Los Arados. Don't look for barbacoa, carnitas or cohinita pibil. It's pretty much beef, chicken and pretty much everything else is seafood. The place is extremely clean, including the restrooms. The setup is great. The queso is mild and has a slight velveeta taste. It's not going to wow you, but neither will you be offe. I liked the salsa a lot. It's primarily onion and tomato with a mild, fresh flavor. What intrigued me the most was the styrofoam cup of soup. There are only a few little pieces of vegetable, and it looks like an all-broth vegetable soup. But when I tasted it, I detected something like a seafood brine. I loved it. It reminded me of crawfish. There were so few vegetables that after a couple spoonfuls, I drank the rest from the cup. I meant to order the ceviche de pescado tostada and the pescado (fish) taco, but I mistakenly ordered the camaron (shrimp) taco instead, along with an order of rice and beans. Each dish came out as it was prepared, with the ceviche tostada arriving first. It is piled with fish and sliced avocado topped with a slightly sweet, smoky sauce. The mistake I made was forgetting the ceviche had been cooked in lime. So when I squeezed out a half key lime it threw the taste out of balance. It was still good, but would have been better without my mistake. The shrimp taco had four fried shrimp. They tasted pretty good, though I think a bit of slaw might have knocked it out of the park. The mild pico was OK, particularly after I added a bit of their mild tartar sauce. The refried beans were excellent. I don't know that they were the best I've ever had, but they had such a fresh pinto bean taste. rice was nice and fluffy with bits of tomato and red bell pepper. So get out and try Los Arados. You won't leave unhappy.

This place is a great find! They have yummy food. Their menu portions are huge, their foods are served fast, fresh, and with a smile. We were in and out during lunch with no problem. Also, the menu is easy to decipher, so fear not. They offer you chips & salsa to start which hit the mark for me--I was so hungry when I sat down. Yes, they serve bottled water instead of a glass of water, so you've been warned. I loved my burrito. It was massive and filled with lots of fresh and flavorful goodies. They are generous with their little limes which I loved to drizzle over everything. They have house sauces which I'd recommend, too. My dining partner ordered a fried fish dish that was excellent. Sadly, I was up to my elbows in my burrito and didn't get a picture of it. I'll be back!

As a native Californian living in the Midwest the struggle has been real. To say the lack of good Mexican food is an understatement. When I noticed Los Arados I knew I had to give it a shot, glad I did. I came on a Monday because I read they had good deals that day. I soon found out they do have deals just not the one I thought. That's ok, something new! I ordered a seafood plate and my bad got the burrito. As soon as you sit down they bring you chips, salsa, cheese sauce AND seafood broth. So. Gooooood. Like I chugged the broth. The chips and dip were good too however they serve them in those tiny cups :( when the food arrived I was excited!! The plate was massive and the seafood looked and tasty yummy. It also came with a plate of side and tortillas. It barely fit in the table!!! I tried some burritos and dang, it's good too!!! It may not be the fanciest place but this is the most legit taqueria I have found yet. It's priced great (check out the daily specials) and tastes amazing.

It doesn't look very nice, but the food is decent.I ordered the Mar Y Tierra plate, which had whole shrimp, grilled shrimp, cocktail shrimp, fried shrimp, carne asada, and a bunch of different veggies (also a bit of what looked like octopus). The shrimp was pretty good, the carne asada I could have lived without. The chips and salsa were fine, the queso was gross and kind of watery. The service could use a little work too.I'd go back and try a few different things, but there's a lot of stiff competition in Mexican/Tex-Mex food on the south side of OKC, so it'll probably be a while. With a few tweaks, this could be a pretty great place.

I love this place! Delicious Mexican seafood. We just discovered Los Arados a few weeks ago, but plan to make it one of our regular stops. Haven't tried anything yet that wasn't sea food related, but everything we've tried so far has been super tasty. They have specials posted for every day. Wednesday is ceviche tostadas for $2.50. So, so good! They also have beer specials, like 2 for 1 on Tuesday (I think I got the day right, it might be Monday.) Most of the time the wait staff speak English, which is good since I don't speak Spanish. Tonight neither waitresses spoke English, but the menu has lots of pictures AND English translations, so between that and a helpful customer translating- we got exactly what we wanted. Very authentic. And very good. Try it out. I know you won't be sorry.

I have been wanting to try this place because every time we drive by it's packed no matter what time of day or night! So finally today is the day, we weren't too hungry but felt snacky, so we came to check out an appetizer. We each had a fish, octopus ceviche appetizer and it was good! They use orange juice as well as lime for their ceviche so that is a nice change up from others we've ordered in okc. They give you a cup of soup broth when you sit down and it made me want to come back for soup ASAP! On the table there is also a bucket and inside this bucket is the jackpot of hot sauces! 6+ different options! I have found heaven. However the beer selection could use some help, we were hoping for a Bohemia or something along that line of Mexican beer but they do offer modelo and corona along with other domestic choices. EDIT*** today was our second visit and we opted for ceviche bowl (octopus, fish and shrimp) to share and an order of the oysters topped with fish ceviche and avocado with a home made special hot sauce (HOT!!) everything was wonderful and the waitress was so helpful recommending some other menu items to try next visit.

Oh boy, what a disappointment. First of all, we ordered through DoorDash and our order took forever at the restaurant. Our dasher even called to apologize for how long it was taking. We ordered nachos and the queso was seriously so bad. It was chunky and an unnaturally orange color. The taste was just funky to say the least. The green salsa had some flavor but mostly heat, the red salsa had no flavor at all. The tacos were fatty and just not good. Burrito was weird and had a drizzle of what looked like ranch? Didn't taste like anything really. I eat a ton of Mexican food (seriously like 3 times a week) and thIs is some of the worst Mexican food I've had in the OKC metro. I'm genuinely very sad with how not good our dinner was.

Fantastic tacos de pescado (fish tacos), ceviche, and campechana!Don't be fooled by the dirty, Technicolor appearance in this kind of scary part of town -- SERIOUSLY.You're here to eat, remember? You're not here for window dressing. The only things I dislike about this place?Well, the men's could be kept far cleaner; that's true. Then there's the guy who was there the last night we went -- rude sumbitch was practicing on an accordion as he strolled around the restaurant. Oh, and finally, I HATE asking for water and getting brought a bottle of water that I'm then charged for. GRRRRRRR. (The proprietors here are really nice, but it's clear that they're still unfamiliar with the concept of bringing their guests complimentary ice water upon request.)Minor flaws aside, bad part of the city (just west of Mt. St. Mary's) . . . put all that aside for an hour or two and just stop in.Trust me -- I can't imagine that you'll be disappointed.
