Lindsey Brooks Photography

I would not recommend using Lindsey as your photographer. Unfortunately my experience with her was not good. I'm currently pregnant with my first baby, so having maternity photos for my husband and I is something I consider very special and was very excited about. Lindsey kind of rushed through our session, delivered our photos a week later than she initially said, and the editing of the photos was subpar. I could tell she didn't spend a lot of time on them and rushed through the editing process. She edited everything so light that my blonde hair basically blends in with the white sky (our shoot was outdoors). I also decided to wear nipple covers because the dress I wore has a key hole between the breasts and I didn't want to wear a regular bra in fear it would show through the key hole. Well you can see the nipple covers though the dress so visibly in every single picture. I texted her immediately after I saw the photos and asked if she could do some editing cause I literally could not use the photos with the nipple covers showing through my dress. I told her how disappointed I was that they were so visible cause I didn't know and it would have been great if she had said something. I wish she would have told me during the shoot that they were noticeable, or at least texted me during the editing process to let me know as a heads up and then tried to work with me on how to fix it. Anyway, she responded by saying she would try to photoshop them to the best of her ability but that it would be hard because of my dress being a ribbed material. I texted her back saying that I would greatly appreciate whatever she could do to make it look better because I literally could not use the photos in their current state. Sadly days went by and I tried following up multiple times and never got a response from her about the editing. She agreed to edit them and then just never responded to me again when I asked about. To say I'm extremely upset would be an understatement because now I'm 38 weeks and have to scramble to do a last minute maternity shoot and spend more money on a new session all over again with a different photographer. Ladies, whatever you do please do not use Lindsey as your maternity photographer! How she handled my situation is extremely disappointing and unprofessional to say the least. My husband and I feel we wasted our money and can't use any of the photos she took. Even if my nipple covers weren't an issue, the way she edited the photos so light still just looks really bad. She also didn't tell me during the shoot that my spanx were showing! You can see part of them through the slit in my dress which is another annoying thing that ruined a lot of the photos. In my opinion a good photographer makes sure you do not have any wardrobe malfunctions and does their best to insure you have good photos with the best editing possible. All in all it was a bad experience and we will not be using Lindseys service again. I hope this review helps someone else considering her and I hope she will take this feedback and make changes to create a better experience for her future clients.
