Went to the International Finals Rodeo here as we have the last two years. We decided to splurge this year and paid top dollar for the most expensive tickets they offered which we assumed would be great seats. What a joke. We bought two tickets from the Lazy E website for a total of $330 thinking this would give us box seats. WRONG! The site will not let you pick your seats, you just select what price you will pay and it assigns you tickets. The on line seating cart is vague and not useful at all. Turns out we paid that astronomical price for terrible seats - Section Q, Row C, seats 11 and 12. We were packed in like sardines in the bleachers. We were so disappointed. After the opening event, we moved to the other side of the arena to some of the many empty seats with even better views and were a lot more comfortable. We always enjoy the rodeo but, if we go next year, we will pick the lowest possible priced seats for a 10th of the price. What a rip off. The rodeo itself was great as always. We enjoy shopping the vendors stalls there too. Food and drinks are really expensive of course. Walking tacos were 9$ each and well drinks were 9$ each too. It was freezing the night we went but staff in carts drove us to the entrance so we didn't have to walk the whole way. Loooong lines at the concession stands indicate that they need more food booths but there is no room for them. Great rodeo though!

We went to an event there today. Paid $60 to sit on metal bleachers that you have to get up & move into stairwell every time anyone on your row has to get in or out. Then realized that $60 was only good for about 2 hours. You have to pay another $60 for each part! So... we go to leave & NO TRUCK!!!! Yep. Our truck was towed. We parked across from security guards. They watched us park & walk in. Didn't say a word. They broke into our truck & had our names but did not page us. It was across the street. $200. We are from SC. So it was safe to say we were visiting. It's also safe to say- we will never be back! We never saw a sign that said no parking. Nobody even made one announcement during a break. Nothing. Worst arena I've ever been to.

The arena area is very nice complete with rings built in to tie up your horses. The facilities overall are well kept and enjoyable. On of the things I found to be quite nice was there was a restaurant / bar overlooking the arena so you weren't just limited to concession stand food. Also you could watch the event while eating at a comfortable seat and not just on the bleachers. A well thought out arena.

We'll, I would love to be able to rate the actual event or venue. Unfortunately, due to their incompetence handling the flow of traffic, we are sitting in a never ending line of cars that has moved 1 mile in 51 minutes. I'm really quite pissed and speechless at this point to spend a couple hundred bucks for an event that I might see half of. Oh, and an extra special thanks since this is my sons first rodeo. If you decide to go here, leave 2 hours earlier than you think you should.

Hard to believe I've lived in Wichita all the years and never visited the Lazy E until last month. Located down a winding country road just off 135 near Guthrie, OK; it's an amazing place to unwind and watch Cowboys and Cowgirls do what they love to do. The arena is BIG! The grounds are beautiful. The new outdoor arena just opened, allowing event participants and spectators alike to enjoy events outside yet still under a roof.
