Lake Hefner Golf Club

Stopping in for breakfast! First time here! I've ridden my bicycle past this place so many times and today I just felt like "I'm stopping for breakfast!"It was nothing fantastic Eggs over easy, Bacon & Wheat toast. A good post ride meal. Might have to come back for the Eggs Benedict.

50 bucks to play this dump is a joke So disappointing I played here during covid it had gone downhill from my childhood. This is where I learned to play and I know this was the nicest public course in the city It is absolute dog poo now crab grass everywhere fairways were ok but patchy as heck The greens were an abomination I have played all over the United States it is not common place to have crabgrass in your greens it was a dumpster fire and the superintendent should be ashamed !!!

The coffee is great and the food is delicious. Very friendly and the view is spectacular.

Ate here with my running club after picking up trash at Lake Hefner. The golf course is always well-maintained and beautiful. The restaurant had a menu with a wide selection of choices and very affordable prices. However, the dining room itself could benefit from an upgrade. The restaurant looked as though it had not had a facelift since the early 90's. It was clean, though. The service was friendly. Our orders took longer than one would typically expect, but we had a large group with each party ordering as they arrived and a special billing arrangement, so our experience is probably not reflective of the typical service.

Course is in mediocre shape. Worst part is that the twosome in front of us haven't hit a good shot all day, but are waiting for the green to clear at 300 plus. Called for a Marshall twice and nothing. Won't come back.

This is the closest course to me, and I'm pretty happy about that! There are two 18-hole courses that are both a lot of fun to play. Most people prefer the north course, though, because it offers up some stunning lake views. The course is always in pretty good shape, and the greens are as challenging and well-maintained as others I've seen at more expensive courses.One thing I love about Hefner and the other public OKC courses is that they all post their full pricing online in a transparent way. I feel like you go to some courses and you are at the mercy of the person working the pro shop as to what they actually end up charging you. Not the case for Hefner, Earlywine, Lincoln Park, and Trosper. They also post all of the usual sunset, senior, twilight etc. rates so you can easily take advantage of discounts.The practice facilities are quite thorough - a reasonably-priced driving range, a chipping green, and two massive putting greens. A great place to go if you don't have time for a full round but just want to hit a bucket of balls.P.S. be sure to try the food here. I've had breakfast and lunch here a couple times and I've been blown away every time. Simple, but very well done and tasty.

The north course is in really good shape except for a couple fairways that have bald spots. Volunteers are working everyday to fix ball marks on the greens. The greens are rolling great. Brand new golf carts with sand to fix the scratch marks on the fairways.

When your staff tells the customer all they need is their original receipt for a rain check and you show up with the original receipt and they don't honor it...If your staff isn't trained the right way you should honor what the customer was told and not make us pay for another round after you pulled us off the course on the 3rd hole because of a storm. Staff was extremely rude about it. LP has a lot better course and a lot nicer staff.

Lake Hefner golf course is in great shape these days. The North course is the only side that's open at the moment, due to the south being under construction. I'm excited to see how it turns out. Hefner Is a great public course and well taken care of. I definitely recommend.

Been golfing here since I moved to OKC 4 years ago. It's a fantastic course for any player, beginner or advanced.
