Lake Hefner Children's Park

Park playground a 5 star.Also the scenery and layout a 5 star.Short 15 min drive from the house.The scenery with the lake in the background and the airplanes flying over... Very cool.There was quite a few people out on the day we went. I was sad to see Porta potties there vs a permanent bathroom.... But I guess that's how it goes in parks these days? Porta pottie didn't have sanitizer in it .... UnfortunateWill try to get out here again sometime... already have two toddlers requesting to return.Respectfully,Bryan Yukon, Oklahoma

It's a nice park to have a picnic or children birthday event. It has activities for children to do and also nearby activities for adults to do. The wind brings a cool breeze from the lake and cools down the summer heat, making it less bearable. Too bad you can't swim in the lake.

Great location for a kids park. Most of the equipment is newer my favorite part is the soft top floor where all the equipment is. Every worriesome moms dream come true right?! Lots of shade and benches and picnic tables throughout a walking trail is also nearby. However if you're wanting to grill or anything there isn't a grill. Everything from slides to baby mazes this place is great for kids of all ages just not super big.

We came here for a child's birthday party. It was a perfect set up with the pavilion. The kids played on toys and flew kites and had a pretty terrific time!

Not a lot here, just a playground for young kids with some benches for adults to watch from. Equipment is new-ish, but the bouncy ground matting is worn out. No picnic area, no fishing piers or boardwalk, no bbqs, very little shade. No bathrooms, just dirty portables. Lake side biking and jogging paths are accessible from here. But they could do much more with this area. Stars & Stripes is nearby with a lot more amenities, plus the playground. So we usually go there.
