La Quinta by Wyndham Midwest City - Tinker AFB

So challenging getting in to this hotel from Sooner Road exit. We came from Dallas and upon arrival we had to do a crazy detour around a parking lot until we figured out the side street that gives better access to a one way entrance to this hotel. There is a gas station right by this hotel that would make entrance easier if they had built an opening. You have to go all the way around by service road. Guest services was friendly. Entering our room was a descent ambiance. Turned off by splattered food marks (I guess) on walls by trash can and another area of the wall had something on it as well. Too tired to mention this and ask for another room. Simple wipe down would have taken care of this. Fixtures in areas throughout not mesh with the wall (gaps). Sink is not in bathroom area but near front entry of hotel, so that is different but tolerable. Comfort of beds were alright. Our pillows seemed to be fit for our 4 year old or kid size but again tolerable. Not sure if pool area was unbalanced w/chlorine but we had a reaction and ended up getting out earlier than anticipated. The food we did not eat for breakfast was just pushed back neatly and left on the desk area where we had left it vs. being thrown out from maid services.

Excellent location off I-40, excellent stay. The hotel is way above average for cleanliness, comfort, and convenience. Front desk staff were all polite, helpful, and cheerfully so. Rooms were very comfortable, well appointed, and clean. Fitness center is small but adequate and, again, clean. We would definitely stay here again and, given our penchant for cross country trips, I'm sure we will.

Absolutely disgusting. I've spent all week at different (much better) La Quintas. This location should be shut down. On every wall, there's some sort of brown stains. The shower drain literally does not drain, you'll be standing in inches of slimy water from the uncleaned tub. The bathtub fixtures desperately need to be replaced. And the mildew above the shower is just the cherry on top. The beds are uncomfortable and the carpet is torn up from previous animals stays. Definitely do not bring children here. And don't expect to have a nice stay, this place is unbearable.

Say you have to cross five states in five days with two cats during the hottest week of the summer because (you're insane) you love your husband and you follow him all over the globe like (an insane person) any faithful spouse would. In such a scenario CHOOSE LA QUINTA! Their extremely reasonable pet rates are built into the room price, regardless the type of pet, and should some unfortunate delay occur, cancellation is free of charge. So friendly, so accommodating, so comfortable and clean that, compared to the econo-crack-den I'd mistakenly booked prior, their rooms were flat out luxurious! God bless you, La Quinta. I swear, from now on, I will stop mispronouncing your name.

If I could do a minus 5 stars I would. To start the LA Quinta web site states single room $93.00 ,for some unknown reason you are not able to confirm reservations at that price so I called and was told the price would be $139.00, I was told that's only online price , I advised I was not permitted to confirm online, the representative stated another caller stated the same problem took place however the online price was not granted. Once in the room there was dried red unknown substance on the wall, the desk clerk came to try to remove it but was not able to. This substance appeared to have been there for some time, I asked if this room was a crime scene because the color was like dried blood the desk clerk Keith said it look like food, I advised it could have been brain matter also . Housekeeping came to the door at 9:30am the next morning I advised I was just getting out of the shower please come back later they never returned at all thru out my stay.

Room was clean and functional, although the shower handle was very hard to turn off. Beds were uncomfortable. Pool area was dirty, needed a good mopping and baseboard cleaning, and the pool itself could've used a tile scrub and possibly cleaner water. We didn't stay as long as we would've normally because I was uncomfortable with the slight cloudiness of the water. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was the included breakfast, but we went down at 7:45 and the only hot food items we saw were about a cup of scrambled eggs that looked like they were from yesterday and an inch or so of congealed gravy in the deep oatmeal/gravy pot. There was some cereal and a few bread/bagel options. We went out for breakfast instead. There was a kid with a plate of slightly fresher-looking eggs when we got back.

I came here from an out of state La Quinta by Wyndham (where I booked this reservation). I've had good luck and get Wyndham points so I booked my stay there. On line booking was not the easiest or most user friendly but booked what I thought was three (3) nights. Upon arrival, I was informed that I was not due to arrive until the next day, but he would get me a room. (The online booking issue???) I got the room (I thought) for 3 days but on the third day I was told I had to leave. When I explained I thought I was booked she was very polite but I, none the less, had to vacate as there were no other rooms available. I accommodations were okay and staff were fine. There is no blame being placed but I found it to be a nice place but nothing that stands out to me.

A conveniently located establishment that was clean, had friendly staff and had good food for breakfast. Made us feel at home. Only recommendation for improvement would be to clean or change shower curtains regularly.

I don't know why others had bad reviews, our stay was great. The rooms are clean, quiet. We are traveling with our 18 lb dog and the doggy rooms were clean and smell fresh. The breakfast bar was average like other continental breakfast bars. The staff was friendly. The only reason for not giving them five stars is the access to getting into their parking lot. The street you must turn down after getting off the I-40 looks like you are driving for into offramp traffic. It's the only way to access the property so we drive around at first trying to find another entry. There isn't one. Once we were on the property it was nice to have the Black Bear Restaurant in the parking lot, walking distance. I checked everywhere for Bed bugs like others claimed and nothing. The beds are comfy and sheets & bedding very clean.

BEWARE of BED BUGS! Make sure to check your room especially the mattress and box spring in which bed bug fecal droppings were visible upon check in on the 3rd floor. Demonte was great and helpful in trying to rectify the situation.
