Smallest screen ever in a theater..... I think so.

Kickingbird Cinema does not simply show movies, no it takes you on cinematic adventures! The beauty of this cinema is that these adventures will single handedly blur the line between film and reality. I once left Kickingbird thinking I was one of the few men who (spoiler alert) survived the evacuation of Dunkirk! Yes, I have spent many a date night at this theater. While my wife may have been simply watching the movie, I was consistently losing myself in the thundering sound and beautiful screen quality. I have been an integral part in (spoiler alert) getting me and my friends out of a video game, (spoiler alert) stealing plans for how the rebels can blow up the Death Star, (spoiler alert) helped an astronaut return home from Mars, (spoiler alert) aided an air marshal in thwarting a couple terrorists, and (spoiler alert) did some racing/stealing/fighting/general bad guy stopping with a crew of street racers who have the uncanny ability to do so much more than just race. The popcorn situation at Kickingbird is exactly as you may have hoped. Overflowing like the (spoiler alert) Titanic once it hit that iceberg. They also butter the popcorn more heavily than a (spoiler alert) genetically altered Indominus Rex being eaten by a gigantic Mosasaurus. They do everything they can to roll out the red carpet for you at this cinema. I have even gotten treated to a private movie theater that made me feel like a true (spoilers) super powered king of a fictional country with futuristic technology that has to fend of old foes that I never realize existed but actually my dad knew about it the whole time but didn't say anything, leaving me to bring the kingdom back together after getting thrown off a waterfall...where was I going with this...Oh right being in a movie theater with no one else there is awesome and this place is too!My wife always gets the kids pack at the concession stand

This is one of our favorite theaters! If you are looking for a hometown feel and comfort then I suggest this place. We love this theater not just because movies are fun to go to, but we like that we get to enjoy and relax watching new releases without having to fight the crazy hustle and bustle people you might deal with at the malls! The staff is always pleasant and the popcorn is always great!

First of all - the staff is so welcoming. They remember you and ask how they can help you. That does not exist at the big chain theaters - so this theater gets five stars for that. However, here's what keeps them at five stars. It's obviously not a new theater-but it's well maintained, clean, and smells clean. The bathrooms are in really good shape too.You can tell the staff really cares not just about the ticket holder but their product.I will definitely come back for a movie. Plus the seats - although not recliners - are cushy and comfy. And to date there's not a sticky residue on the floors that I'm aware of.Again - well-maintained!!!Great job!!!

I really want this cinema to be great, after all I live in a neighborhood close by it. However, it is a bit out dated and over priced compared to other places. They don't offer a military discount either. The sound is nice and popcorn fresh. Staff is friendly. We still go here because it's so close but would probably just attend here alone, if it were a little nicer.

I wish this theatre was better because I live so close, but it's not. The screens are nice, but the seating and decor and everything else is severely outdated. Customer service is so so. For your experience, you'd think it was a discount theatre at 2 or 3 bucks a pop (or at least 4 bucks like the much better Tinseltown), but matinees are almost 8 bucks and the prices go up from there. Really?

I grew up in Edmond, so this was a spot where I spent a lot of time growing up. Once AMC at Quail Springs and Penn Square came around, our little local theatre got overshadowed. My husband and I ended up going to see Dead Pool here the other weekend, and I really enjoyed it. We went to a Matinée showing, and it was so nice just to walk in, find a seat and be ready for the movie. Their bass/sound system is really awesome for an action movie (some might think it's loud, but for me it seemed like the ultimate surround sound!). I love supporting this local movie theatre, and I can't wait to see more movies here.

Old facilities but inexpensive and NO CRAZY LINES!I've been going to Kickingbird since I was very small, and over the years it has changed a ton. It was once a premier cinema, the largest in Edmond and really the whole area. Then came AMC 24, and after attempting briefly to compete (and raising their ticket prices to reduce the losses from a depleted market), they quickly became a rundown second fiddle. Now that Tinseltown, Harkins, and Warren have taken the spotlight away from AMC 24, however, Kickingbird has re-developed its identity successfully into that of a smaller, neighborhood-type cinema. Their electronics are pretty much up to speed with all of their competition.Likes: It is MUCH easier to go to Kickingbird than to AMC 24, which provides a nice little niche in the market for them. It's also WAY cheaper! There are never any lines, and the atmosphere is calmer. It's nice to be able to just walk in, buy a ticket, grab a snack and sit down without having to fight all the crowds and blow a ton of money. Even if it's a bit more expensive than a dollar theater, they're showing new releases, and it's a nicer environment.Dislikes: The facilities are aging.Though a bit dingy, you gotta love the neighborhood feel of Kickingbird. It's really re-established its identity.

Avoid the lines , the crowds and walking thru a mall to get to theatre. Clean and comfortable. Prices are fair without the hassle of the bigger theaters

It's a small theatre - but great place to go in and out. No crazy lines. Not high end leather seating and reclining chairs by any means but just very homey. Mostly older people and high school kids. Clean but outdated.

Unfortunately I found the Cinema dark made it seem not clean. In addition the prices are way to high for an old theater. For the same money I can go to AMC Quail or others that offer much more
