Jonny's At Oak Tree

Rude and overpriced Went for lunch today. $28 for burger and salad. Ok. No biggie. Drinks one soda and one water for my fiancé. My fiancé wanted water and inadvertently put a shot of lemonade in her cup afterwhich she filled the cup with water. The clerk called her over and said I didn't charge you for that soda. My fiancé thought she meant to one I got. She paid $2 plus and explained to me what the charge was for. I checked and I was charged, this taken to the cashier and explained and she said, no, that was for the soda my fiancé had taken. It was explained and we not issued an refund. Last time going there. It wasn't the money, it was the point.

We come here about once every week or two just to buy my mom fried green tomatoes. She loves her own the best of course, but these do in a pinch. Green tomatoes are not always readily available to us, but they always have them here. I love that she's happy with them and gets her fix at a very good price. And that we are not trying to track down tomatoes and them heating the kitchen and getting grease everywhere to fry them for her. The staff is very friendly when we've eaten here as well. The other food we've purchased has been equally as good as the tomatoes in quality and price. Highly recommend!

Such a cute place. Has a great selection of food, tons of seating, room to the side for it you have a bigger party. This is the only place I would actively choose to get a salad at, because they are just so good here. Staff is also always so polite. I don't think I've ever came in to a frown or someone with a bad attitude, and that really makes the experience all the better. Definitely recommend.

Was I impressed in the grand scheme of everything I've eaten? No. Was I impressed considering this was the middle of nowhere? Yes. Solid 3.5. Some locals at a museum pointed us to Jonny's as "the" place in Duncan. We stopped in for lunch. It's counter service style, and a little confusing. You walk in, read the menu, then walk to the back to the counter to order. I went with the thunder burger, with jalapeños and bacon, and my dining partner had a double cheeseburger. We split some fries, onion rings, and fried peaches. The burgers were alright, and definitely on the dry side and rather thin. It wasn't my favorite but it wasn't the worst burger I've ever had. My dining partner enjoyed her burger. The fries were pretty standard, and the onion rings were monstrous. It took 4-5 bites to finish one of them. The fried peaches were okay, and the sauce that was included was probably the best thing on the table. If I were in Duncan again, I might go back and try something different (the grilled chicken salad was incredibly popular), but that is TBD.

Food is great. Something about the fries that always bring me back. Let me rephrase, the food IS great if you're wanting to have something good cheap and simple. The service itself is also decent, small town place so it's not crazy or anything so even stopping to eat inside is tolerable. The whole atmosphere is that "small town place" to go to after church on Sundays or when you just want a nice BLT during the week for a lunch break.

The food here is a tad pricey but most of it very tasty and the service is ok, on the fact they just take your order in a small area and you have to do go for your own refills and go to the counter if you want a to go box and other things as well. Now I will say there chicken fried steak they offer is a decent portion but it is definitely delicious in my opinion. A friend of mine made me a homemade chicken fried steak so afterwards I have been pretty picky on most restaurant's chicken fried steaks . Most are frozen or not that tasty but here I do recommend you give it a try .

Well... Never again will my husband and I go to Jonny's. We ordered to-go today and got cold food. My husband waited for the order inside the restaurant and got it when it just came out. The burgers were dry and luke warm/cold, and the onions were still ice cold under the breading from my order of onion rings, the breading was soggy.That wasn't the worst of it. First, my husband called to let them know, knowing mistakes happen and sometimes orders don't come out right during a rush. We just wanted to take the food back and get correct, fresh food. The manager immediately argued with him and told him that it wasn't their fault that we ordered to-go and they don't know how far we live from there. Um... What? We order food from places all the time and come home with fresh orders. The manager continued to argue and proceeded to hang up on him. I called back and asked to speak with the owner, and she gave the same exact spill, told me she had other customers to serve and if I wanted to "chat" later, then I could call back, but they would NOT be fixing our order. Anyone that knows me, knows I am a calm and quiet person. I never raised my voice once at this woman, and she was just nasty to me. We paid almost $40 for 2 cold burgers, cold sides, 2 drinks, and to be mistreated. I ended up just throwing my meal away, so disappointing. Definitely a place run by an owner who refuses to take criticism of any kind, and evidently believes she is perfect.

I love coming here as it is one of the cleanest restaurants in Duncan. The staff is friendly and makes it welcoming. The decor and layout makes it nice and cozy. I enjoy just about everything on the menu. I have to flip a coin most days to decide what to eat cause it's all so good. The ranch fries, chicken breast, loaded baked potatoes, burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, and salads. All just great quality and tasty. This is a top restaurant in our book.

We have eaten here many times and have enjoyed the food every time. It is delicious down home cooking, generous portions, wonderful, friendly and courteous staff with a really nice family atmosphere. It is our go to place when we are in Duncan.

First off grossly overpriced for what it is! The food was good but not fantastic, BUT THEY CHARGED US EXTRA FOR RANCH WITH MY ONION RINGS!! IT COST US OVER THIRTY BUCKS FOR CHICKEN TENDERS AND A SANDWICH!!! we were being stared at by everyone In the place the entire time we were eating, possibly because I'm a guy and have long hair and my girlfriend was wearing a tie dye shirt. You can feel the negative energy radiating from this place. Lady was rude and acted like we should know how the place works, but we have never been there. Having menus in a separate place from the order counter was just weird! You get your own drink and when you ask for hot sauce or ketchup they throw a fit and tell you you get your own! Horrible, horrible, service! Just decent food, but way too expensive for their menu items! Then the nerve to charge extra for ranch , What a joke , we will not be back! I could Even understand the higher prices if they had a waitstaff, but they do not. You order at the counter then they call your name, you get your own drink and condiments, they won't give you a menu. They have them under glass at a separate location than where you order??? Why???? Just judgemental greed mongers.
