Jamil's Steakhouse - Oklahoma City

Lunch at Jamils last Thursday. Jamils is an old-school restaurant known for their steaks and rich in history. It is a throwback to another era, but to me, that's what makes it so appealing. Most of the staff has been there a very long time. The service and food are both good. The decor is interesting as the walls are adorned with Oklahoma celebrities. It's fun to see how many you can name. Most likely, you will need to call on the staff to name more than a few.I ordered fried shrimp with green beans, a garden salad, and hand breaded onion rings. The salad was cool and crisp with just the right amount of ranch dressing. The onion rings were very good even though they were overcooked. The fried shrimp was very enjoyable. I am looking forward to going back with my wife for dinner.

We booked a private room for our adult Sunday School Valentine's dinner for 26 people. The rom was cozy but not cramped at all. Service was amazing! Drinks were kept full, wait staff very attentive and friendly. The food came out hot and in a very timely manner. A variety of food was ordered, steak, ribs, salmon, teriyaki chicken and chicken fried steak. Everyone raved about how good their food was. Highly recommend Jamil's.

Have not been here since 1965, it's still a very nice place with super friendly waitresses and excellent food.It's definitely a step back in time!

Amazing food and amazing service. You won't be disappointed. They have the best cabbage rolls, hummus, and tabouli in the OKC metro area.

This steakhouse is awesome and has tons of character! Met up with one of my students here to congratulate him on passing the Bar and it did not disappoint! Their pita and hummus appetizer is delicious and their pita bread exhibits extreme fluffiness. I should have ordered one of the T-Bone steaks or prime cuts but instead got one of the smaller cuts which was still great. Their lemon cake with ice cream dessert was also excellent. The inside is decorated with a ton of historic memorabilia and the servers are very observant of refills etc. and excellent. An OKC gem that you must check out!

Yes an old school classic. It likes going to a relatives house to eat. Simple and delicious.

Everything from service to appetizers to the quality of the steaks was top notch. Atmosphere was old school,Nothing too snooty.Loved it

We had our ladies group Christmas dinner here, and we just loved the ambiance of the place! So cozy and full of fun art on the walls. The staff were soooo personable and seemed to enjoy their jobs, taking great care of us and keeping us laughing. The pre dinner nibbles were tasty (though I wished the tabouli had more flavor... it wasn't tart or seasoned much). The hot pita bread was yummmmy and the steak and baked potato were just right. I tasted my friend's catfish (they served her a TON!)...oh my, was it good! When I go back, I will get the catfish, as I'm not a huge steak eater, though it was very good. Thank you, Jamil's!

Greg, the owner was an amazing host. 16 of us had a room for Dinner out. The food and service was excellent.
