I. LOVE. SOCCER.That isn't a surprising statement for most anyone who knows me, but I felt like it needed to be said. I watch it, read about it, DVR shows about it, listen to podcasts about it, played it (awkwardly), and watch my son play and enjoy it.ISA has been there through the years as one of two options in the area for indoor soccer, but has been most convenient for many of those in the central and south side of the metro. The building has a bit of an odd layout because of the site it is on and the growth of adding a third full-size field and two mini-fields in the last six or so years. The aforementioned fields are well-marked and decently maintained. The spectators' areas, with two of the three being quite spacious (Ahem... Field #1), have received a new coat of paint. That's nice, but why only three stars? No, it's not the refereeing. Like most soccer leagues (indoor and outdoor, professional or amateur), officiating is going to be hit and miss depending on the individual, the time of day, or the alignment of the stars. My concern has always been about scheduling and the team skill groupings. Unlike other indoor establishments, there are no set nights for leagues. For example, my son's league has had games on all days of the week except Sunday, with gaps between games ranging from a few days to a week and a half. This makes family scheduling a little rough. As for skill level of leagues, I believe a little more care could be made in moving the more skillful teams up the league ladder to clean out the sand-bagging teams. I mean, the championship t-shirts are nice, but how good can it feel when you continually obliterate teams by 10+ goals a game? All in all, ISA is a place that provides a service I want; I just think a few tweaks could make it an even better business for its customers.

As a parent and coach, I have experienced a severe lack of organization. It seems like there is no chain of command. The facilities are nice other than the fact that it IS ALWAYS HOT! Before the games kick off, it would make sense to turn the air down in anticipation of the inflow of warm bodies. It would be great if their website would consistently work too!

Terrible refs. They cuss at the kids. Head ref sits at the picnic table, on his phone & does nothing. What are they paying him for???

This factory has helpful staff up front when it comes to questions and signing up. But I have never played at an arena that seems like the referees favor one team the ENTIRE game. I record every game my team plays and after the game I go home and watch the videos. My team is a team mixed with Hispanics, African American and Caucasians. But just about every game we play we feel like the referees favor the full Hispanic teams. And it isn't right. We record the games just to prove it. We dont know if we will return. I have played for many different arenas and this is the worse when it comes to calls and referees. If they know people or have friends on a team playing they are favored. We just want to play somewhere its fair. We played one game last week and had all players ready and waiting for the other team but they game the other team a point to start because we didn't have targets on BUT my team wasnt told we need targets til 3 minutes into the first half while waiting on the other team to get a goalie. I have never been so upset with a factory or referees in my life. Happens a lot! Read the reviews. Changes need made. One sided place.
