Il Dolce Gelato

Excellent gelato. Delicious, varied, fun. We got two small cups: lemon and strawberry, and sea salt caramel and some sort of seasonal nut flavor that I'm blanking on. All excellent. The strawberry flavor is more muted, so next time I would either go 70-30 strawberry to lemon, or go with raspberry instead. Kind staff. It must take a lot of patience to wait for people to decide. I was definitely part of the problem- everything looked great and I would have sampled them all if I hadn't restrained myself around 4. Still feels like they're growing into the space itself- it's a challenge! I don't know what I would do with that space, but it feels like there's room for some creativity to bring it all together. We came right before Christmas, so there weren't huge lines. I could see that adding to the difficulty. Really enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning.

Great place. Stopped here on our way to Dallas! Needed a sweet fix & this hit the spot! I went with lemon and brownie, and my boyfriend got a vanilla and brownie. Very good.

Vegans!! They always carry 3 vegan flavors, when I went it was limon, strawberry and raspberry good to know there is a dessert place with options that are dairy free

Great tasty and creamy gelato with many flavors, highly recommend the blackberry. Manager is super friendly and has tables & chairs so you can enjoy the goodness there.

The recent visit to il Dolce Gelato was unplanned. We were planning to try Crimson & Whipped Cream, but... apparently they close shop whenever they want to, as opposed to whatever hours they post online... So then we ended up at il Dolce instead. And I could not have asked for a better dessert (that we came across by happenstance).1. There's a guy. And he's got a beard. He apparently decides the flavors and makes the gelato and whatnot, which would make me think he must be the owner. If you are reading this, bearded guy who makes the gelato and decides the flavors, you keep doing you, because... It's working well. He even went and got me a chair from the back because they were all out of chairs (after a lady stole one of our chairs while we were standing in line). I didn't ask him to get me a chair. He just happened to be paying attention.2. The flavors are fantastic. They actually taste like the names of the gelato, which we had come to accept as giant lies based on what we've tried at other gelato places. Like when other gelato joints say "Mint" it seems like they added some green food coloring and maybe a touch of toothpaste. Not here. Here it tastes delicious. I tried the Mint Chocolate, Mascarpone, Quasimodo (it was like... Stracciatella and/or something else?), and a couple others I don't remember the names of. What I do remember was how great they all tasted. The flavors are obvious (but not overpowering) while also being creamy and satisfying.3. Reasonable prices. The Medio (Medium; can include three flavors) was like... $4.10 or something. 4. They're open late(r), compared to many other places in this state that think we should all be in bed by 9 pm. All of the above reasons just upsets me all the more about this really crappy (more expensive) gelato place we tried recently in Santa Fe, NM. It's also mildly upsetting that this is in Norman, as opposed to... I dunno, closer to me, I guess. Edmond? N. OKC? Please? We shall return, posthaste. Posthaste, you hear me?

Excellent selections of gelato! The lemon ice and coconut were DELICIOUS!! Great place to grab and go when you need a quick sweet fix! Highly recommend! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and offered samples to try.

11/17/24 @ 8:49pmJust stopped in there, says they are open, lights on, 10 minutes until close. Walked in, used the restroom, stood around and no one ever came out, yet we could hear them and see the lights on in the employee-only area. We love the gelato, just hate when you advertise being open and hurry to get there only to not get waited on

The gelato had amazing texture and flavor. The staff was very friendly and answered all questions I had. Give them a try if you are in the area.

Awesome on all three the flavors are great I could not decide. I Gupta lots of samples. There wasn't a bad one. The person who helped was very nice. Nice tables and chairs to sit in very comfy. And casual

Yummy gelato but their affogato itis a whole new level. I definitely recommend any time of the year.
