Gringo's Taqueria

DUDE!!! This place is LEGIT Mexican food. Like right off a taco truck in San Diego legit. Excellent red and green sauces. We all tried something different and everything was great. By far the best I have had in a long time. It will always be our new stop on the way between Fort Smith and DFW. I don't even leave reviews on things like this but I was just super excited to finally find something worth eating in McAlester (and open on a Sunday evening no less!). PS. My son had the Al Pastor tacos and said it was the best Al Pastor he has ever had.

Nothing fancy, just good Mexican food. The menu is on a black board and without prices. Hard to read since it is so high up. Pretty strange. My first time here and i felt rushed to try to read the blackboard as other customers waited in line behind me. I ordered the steak burrito, not knowing what it cost. Customers pick up their orders when their order number is called. My burrito was huge. Easily two meals for me. Like others commented, the food was luke warm. Tasty but I prefer piping hot. It cost $11. Really not bad for the amount of food. They need to have printed menus with prices and serve hot food to your table and they would easily be 5 stars.

First time at Gringo's Taqueria. My friend had the chicken tacos and I had the Al Pastor Quesadilla. The food was delicious and the ladies behind the counter were so helpful and friendly. Made me think it was family owned and operated. Delicious, fast, clean and friendly earns a happy 5 star review from me. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area again!

I ordered an aray of tacos and the beef lengua (beef tongue) was my favorite! They were so tender and juicy. You definitely need to try it! I usually don't eat body parts like tongue but I had to give it a try!The other tacos I tried were: Carne asada (steak), al pastor (pork), and chile rojo (pork tips in red sauce). They were also delicious but once you have the beef lengua you won't want anything else! My second favorite though, was the chile rojo. The sauce was amazing, flavorful and spicy. They ran out of the chile Verde taco but next time I'll try that too!My family also got queso and chips to share. Queso was good and didn't feel too heavy either which I liked!

Great food and friendly service all at reasonable prices! Glad we stopped on our way through town!

No prices on the menu, $28 for 2 nachos and cups of water. They were pretty small and very few toppings

Legit ! I've lived in Phoenix and San Diego, and these tacos are on par with the ones I've had there. Burritos are great too. The tortillas, meats, and salsas are amazing and are all made in-house. I'd recommend the chile rojo and chile verde meats on their fresh made corn tortillas. Those have always been a favorite of mine and it's rare that a taco shop has them both. Delicious, fast, convenient. This will be a go-to place for me in town.

Very good food. Fast, friendly service. It was right off the cute little downtown area. I liked being able to support a local business.

Tacos were delicious. Great quality for an affordable price. I would definitely recommend this to others.
