Great American Pizza

When our go to pizza shop was closed, we decided to try somewhere new. Found Great American Pizza because we like to try more mom and pop type pizza places versus big brand restaurants. The restaurant is in an old Pizza Hut and definitely still has its 90s decor. A little run down on ambiance. We ordered their pizza and calzone like we always do - typically the same as we go everywhere - a Greek calzone and veggie with hamburger pizza. The dough was soft and the pizza and calzone were tasty. It wasn't the best pizza we've ever had but their prices were competitive and the food was fresh and good. The calzone could have had more meat - almost seemed like the meat was non existent but still, had flavor for what we were wanting. Would probably go back only our go to spot wasn't open again.

Pizza is good but small for price. Always order them on DoorDash and they NEVER have the advertised 2 liter Diet Coke. Sometimes they sub diet cans for the 2 liter and it works. Tonight, no Diet in stock. I think the menu needs updated or they should stock it. It ruins my order when I learn there is no soda I can drink with my pizza. I wouldn't have even bothered ordering if I knew in advance.

Some People in Okc think just hot pizza is great, so take their 5 star reviews w a grain of salt. The sauce is mediocre. Doesn't taste like it's cooked before making the pizza, so it's not really cooked when you get it. Lots of toppings and cheese. The crust was thin and crispy but it had no flavor. Salt? Butter? Sugar? These are all at their disposal. Don't buy frozen pizza crust and call it your own. You can tell it's frozen. Same as every other crappy corner pizza place we are plagued with.

I have been getting great american pizza from this location for 7 years I believe. I was so excited to know my apartment was still located where they can deliver. The staff is always friendly and hard working. They go the extra mile for customers with a smile on their face. I have ever witnessed any employee upset at the establishment or getting yelled at. That can be rare to find. The pizza is always exactly how I like it. With having autism, it is helpful to know the quality and taste doesn't change. I really enjoy how kind they are to me and I never have to explain myself if Im having difficulty. They are patient and kind. This business supports its patrons with understanding and great pizza. Shout out to Great American Pizza.

While their specialty pizzas didn't impress me too much..Maybe their simple pies are better? Toppings were average and a bit too sparse, a top coating of cheese attempting to hide that fact. Pizza dough looked and tasted premade. I guess it's not a bad deal if you need to feed a bunch of kids at a birthday party or something. Though I do dig the divey dining room with the throwback vibe I miss in pizza places. And the folks running this place are super nice. But for near the same price, I'd rather do Stars & Stripes, even Marco's. But you could do worse (All American Pizza, gag).

Plain and simple Great Pizza, Great Pizza for the price. the cheese and ingredients were perfect.

The reviews referring to taking "their five star reviews with a grain of salt," are completely ridiculous. I have had tons of pizza from tons of places, and for the price, this is 100% better than any other fast food pizza shop I have ever had. I pay $11 for a large pizza each time, and it is immensely better than any Dominoes, Caesar's, Mazzio's, Pizza Hut, etc, as well as the service being generally much faster. They also do great with parties, prepared our 8 pizzas for a Halloween party with absolutely no issues, were perfectly on time. Something about this pizza is just right, and the hole in the wall atmosphere sells it. If you like paying double for mediocre pizza, go to The Wedge or Hideaway instead, but if you love yourself- just give this place a shot

YOU HAVE TO TRY!!!! This is the best pizza I've ever had in my life. They've always been fast at getting the order ready and are super nice people to work with. Idk what it is but the cheese tastes like no other pizza brand. It tastes so good you don't even need dipping sauces!!! I once told the man running the shop how amazing his pizza was and he said he knew because he eats it himself . This is the type of hole in the wall place you dream of finding, it's definitely a family run place which I think is what makes it so good. 20/10 will always come again
