Gopuram is by far the weakest Indian buffet I have ever been to and I've been to many. It's so bad that I feel like calling it "weak" is actually a compliment since it downplays the extremity of the situation. Shockingly, it used to be decent, but is totally unrecognizable now. I don't even know how the place has survived; it's like a rotting husk of something that once was.If you have ever been to a mediocre Indian buffet, you already know exactly what dishes they have:The world's okayest Chicken Tikka Masala.Palak Paneer that tastes like Walmart cream spinach.Vegetable Korma that tastes like Campbell's cream of broccoli soup.Mushroom Soup that might literally be Campbell's cream of mushroom soup. One piece of tandoori chicken on top of 7,000 onions. The only kind of unique thing is the goat curry which has jagged shards of bone in every bite so it's kind of like playing Russian Roulette. If you've ever wanted to eat questionable gruel with broken glass in it, they've got you taken care of.Some poor soul who is clearly a non-Indian lady runs the whole front of house. Literally did not see a single other person besides some vague clanking coming from the kitchen, probably the real owners, chained to a chair somewhere in the back.Near the bathrooms where the silverware is inexplicably located (far away from the food), I saw the most disgusting spoon I've ever seen in my life. This was "clean" silverware for guests. My main Indian spot is Manna, which is inherently dirty and questionable in various ways, so to horrify me of all people is truly a terrifying spectacle.I left the buffet still hungry, a totally incomprehensible feat for me, since I am extremely gluttonous. Alas, Gopuram has accomplished the impossible.

Husband and I are on a mission to try all the Indian places in OKC, so we stopped by Gopuram's for lunch! First of all, the service there was great. By the time we got to the buffet, there really wasn't any much left. The rice looked all dried up. There was one sad looking piece of naan in its tray. But the guy there came by our table with freshly made naan and topped off the rice even though they were closing in 20 mins. He also made tandoori chicken for us and served it right to our table. So service is 100% worth 5 stars. Sadly, the food was honestly about 3.5 stars worth. Selection wise, it wasn't great to begin with - only four curries, spinach pakoras, and tandoori chicken. The curries themselves were just okay as well, but I did think the spinach pakora was delicious. Tandoori chicken fresh out of the oven was pretty good, but we were definitely let down by the curries. It was 14$ a person, which really isn't too bad price wise, but I think the selection could've been better. Now, maybe this could be because we came in right before they closed, but we weren't too impressed overall. Maybe if they had more of a selection, we'd go back.

I have been here twice in the last month. Each time I went at noon and had the buffet. I enjoyed the food very much and plan return soon. One thing I noticed was the lack of customers. Just a few on the first occasion and I was alone today. I don't know anything about Indian food so this is not a critique of that.

At one time Gopuram was the benchmark for Indian cuisine in the Oklahoma city metro area. Their original location on northwest 23rd was hailed as a readers choice regularly. Sadly they have slipped into mediocrity over the last few years. This evening we tried it again in the hopes that it would be as tasty as pre covid. No such luck. The service was fantastic, but then again we were the only patrons in the restaurant. The selection on the buffet line was about half of what it used to be. There was only one piece of tandoori chicken. Too be fair about halfway through our meal our server brought a few freshly cooked pieces out for our party, but too little too late. Nothing was hot with the exception of the freshly cooked tandoori chicken and some Naan bread. One of our party used the rest room and reported it was filthy and the smell made them gag. If you're on the north side of town and willing to drive a bit further head down to Taj on 23rd to get you Indian fix. You'll enjoy your meal much better there.

I love Indian food and have been going to Gopuram for many years at their previous location. Here the service was friendly as always. They do have a nice lunch buffet and I went on a weekend and it was $15 which is pretty reasonable. They had spinach pakora and naan bread. Chicken tikka, Vegetable korma, Goat curry, Spinach Paneer, mushroom soup, tomato soup, white rice, and lamb kebab. All was very tasty. It is a very mild level of spiciness. You can also get buffet to go. Clean modern bathroom, lots of tables and lots of parking. This location is a more casual environment than there previous restaurant. If you are new to Indian food this is probably a good place to start and get to try a variety of things. They also had two desserts on the buffet.

Have tried to eat at this place twice. The first time I went in their air-conditioning was out and advertised buffet was not offered. The second time I went in I called ahead of time to make sure their buffet was being offered and when I got there they would only let me order to go because they do not let customers dine after approximately 1:15. Won't be trying a third time.

I love Indian food, and as such, always have high expectations. Unfortunately, they aren't often met, but Gopuram absolutely exceeded them!We ordered several different curries, naan, and rice, as well as halwa.Every single curry was phenomenal. We had the Malai Kofta, which neither of us had ever had before. It was so creamy, and the dumplings were a perfect texture, but it wasn't too rich. I also ordered the paneer tikka masala, and it was dreamy. The only reason they are getting 4/5 is because when it comes to delivery, it takes FOREVER. But, as you'll notice, we still ate it. And we still order from there, we just anticipate the wait, and probably end up ordering more than we need...but that just means leftovers!I highly suggest them!

I took my mom out for lunch and she noticed a roach on the wall as I was making my plate. I was highly disappointed because I have ate here before and I actually liked the food. I knew something was off because they serve food on paper plates. That's not a big issue because I understand it saves labor but this is a restaurant at the end of the day and that is not appealing to the customer. It's lazy and judging off the fact that we saw a roach crawling on the wall, the management at this place does not care enough to have a good restaurant.

My mother in law and daughter like to try new restaurants every time we get together for lunch. We enjoy trying different ethnic restaurants and this one was great. They had a buffet the afternoon we went. It had somewhat limited choices however we tried everything and food was wonderful. Will definitely go back again.
