Overall the facility is nice. Clean. The water is warm and the staff is kind enough. 2 years ago, I took my 11 month old daughter to ymca and she hated the cold water so I was hoping this would be a better experience. Now that she is 3 she doesn't seem to mind water at all. The type of instructions was very similiar to the ymca. The main difference I notice is in the instructors. One instructor is very good, gives you a report of how well she did and what she needs to work on. Another just nodded their head when I asked for feedback. I'm also taking my 2 year son to the mini 2 parent n me class. He is really struggling. Crying the entire time, very upset and difficult to participate in class. The instructor just carries on like she's just following the cue card she holds in her hand. She doesn't give any advice or suggestions on how to make him feel more comfortable in the water. It's a very stressful experience for both of us. At the ymca the instructors worked really hard to get my daughter comfortable in the water and provided lots of feedback on correct swimming technique. After these 30 days ( which is required at sign up) we won't be back.

TLDR: we're hooked! Swim up over here and let me tell you a little story. Maybe you've been to some other indoor swim schools... so have I. And I thought those were great... but that was before I'd been to Goldfish. My little tadpoles are finally in formal lessons, and we are so excited to get to start here. There is so much focus on safety, which is like 90% of what I care about in a swim situation. Small classes (just a few kids per instructor) and then a lifeguard standing sentry right at the end of the lane. Other supervisors were also nearby, and it was very easy to see where the money goes: the facility is state of the art and spotless, and there was so much staff both in and out of the water. My kids loved it and didn't want to leave, but they've even thought of that, with a fun little prize to take when you leave if you're cool about it. Add in family swim night, and I think this is a place we'll spend a lot of time and money, and feel mighty good about it.

I cannot believe after being a Goldfish Swim family for almost 3 years and counting I have not reviewed them.We started looking for a place to teach our daughter to swim when she was 6 months old. At the time, there was not much selection other than a few Groupon options with baby/toddler swimming classes at the "Lighthouse" gym or some sketchy lessons that always seemed to change locations at the last minute. I'm not saying people where running swim classes out of subdivision pools... but the swim lesson seen was a bit dicey. But then enter Goldfish Swim School. The facility is bright, clean and fun. The mascot, a goldfish named Bubbles, is everywhere with a welcoming grin. The pool area is 3 1/2 to 4 ft deep with a ledge on the two longest sides. The areas are blocked off by lanes that can be moved to fit class sizes and removed all together for family swim night. The water is warm all year round. When you enter, you are greeted by the staff. Sherri is a joy and I look forward to seeing her. There are dressing rooms that remind me of beach shacks and ample places to get ready for class and to dry off after. There are two machines that spin dry the suits. The swim teachers are assigned lanes and there are various levels of skill. When our daughter first stared in 2017, she was in a beginner class that focused on following instructions, floating, getting comfortable in the water, and getting to the side of the pool, and pulling yourself out of the pool. Teacher use ribbons to reward and encourage students. Students receive a prize at the end of class, ranging from coloring sheets, stickers, ribbons, toy Bubbles, and so on. There is a snack concession area. The snacks are reasonably priced and you can buy a punch card for $10.00. Students receive a special birthday present in the mail. There is a viewing are for families to sit and watch. After the lesson, the teaching visits with each students' family member to discuss the class and what they do well and what needs work. Many teachers really start to understand your kid's learning style and it is a joy to see the teacher and student click. Our daughter is currently in Glider 2 and hopefully will be advancing soon. She has also been in the jump start clinic a few times; a 5 day a week one-on-one class. I highly recommend this. Again, we love everything about this place.

I'm still deciding, but so far the instructors are very attentive and patient. They give you updates each visit and let you know what they need to work on to move up to the next level. This place is organized and clean. I do wish I could get an answer when I call, called a few different times, lost a shoe, had to cancel, etc and no answer, but they call back within 24 hours. Cancelled policy, if you cancel in advance you get a makeup session (everything is charged on a monthly basis), up to a specific number of times. They do however cancel for things like a thunderstorm, holidays, day after holidays. It's only been a few weeks, so can't tell on the effectiveness of the classes quite yet. Kid in class is 3 yo, already comfortable in water and has been in toddler water safety class at the y, previous.

Not because I'd the school or instructors but the school has clear safety protocols listed on every lane that were not followed. One kid at the sat 10:00 session in Lane 9 continually disrespected the Swim instructor despite her being extremely patient and polite. The kid was throwing water and refusing to listen. The parents sat and watched. For that reason my children had less time with the instructor. Who oversees posted safety violations?

We have 2 of my grandchildren taking classes at Goldfish. After multiple attempts at private lessons with limited results my wife contacted Goldfish.I will admit I was a bit concerned with the cost. But swimming is something that will last them a lifetime and could save their lives. Results has been great. They are jumping in and swimming and no longer afraid. We will keep them in a bit longer as we want them to get more skilled and more confident.I can tell you we are extremely happy and can look back with confidence that this was money well spent.

We are Goldfish Family for life! My son started at Goldfish around age 4 (he's now almost 7) when we were looking to boost his swimming skills, but also give him something to stay physically active through the cold winter months. Did you know Goldfish has a family swim night every Friday night? Especially in the fall, winter and spring, this is SUCH a lifesaver. There are also multiple other open family swims throughout the week, which make school break days much more pleasant. Thestaff at Goldfish are phenomenal - from the folks at the front desk, to the management, to the instructors in the water. Everyone took the time to get to know us, greet us by name, and build relationship. The whole experience made coming to lessons like going to see friends. High level of warmth - equally high level of professionalism. My son gained SO much skill, that he was able to swim competitively this summer on our neighborhood swim team! We took advantage of both group and private lessons at Goldfish to build his skills. They run a world class organization. The facility is pristine and clean, and aesthetically beautiful. The coffee, sodas, drinks and snacks are such a nice perk! If you've never tried Goldfish and are curious, you can always book a complimentary lesson!

All I can say is WOW!!! I had my 7 year old girls' birthday party here, and was completely in awe of how easy they made it for me! 1. We had the entire pool to our party! 2. Everything was provided - cake, decor, paper products, juice, and even goodie bags! 3. A party coordinator was there who ran MY party. She provided the candles, served my guests bottled water, ordered my cupcakes, passed out cupcakes and goodie bags to the kiddos at the party, and was my contact from day 1 of booking (texting included through the whole process!). She even had a surprise beach ball signed by every party guest for my girls as a gift. We left the party with free T-shirt's as well! This party was a game changer! I had 3 guests at my party say that they were having their children's parties there in the coming year because of how fun and easy it appeared! When I say I did nothing for this party, I literally mean, I did NOTHING. I was just told to show up right before 3:30pm...and I did! Goldfish birthday parties are every mother's dream. Best. Birthday. Ever! Thanks for throwing the best party for my twin girls!!

Triple charged my account in July. Refunded one (after more days than necessary), told me the second extra charge would apply as balance for August. Charged again in August. Now claims their records only shows two charges (and that the refund was made), so they can not refund me the third charge. Went to the app, can not delete my card from their file (will defined cancel my card before September). Swimming lessons are okay, but my daughter has made far more progress in 2 weeks going to OSU summer program. Advice, if you have the option go to another school. If you don't: don't give them permission to charge you automatically and have all conversation recorded or by email. I wondered why they call SO MUCH, now I know.
