We loved Gloria's! If you're hungry for breakfast or lunch and find yourself driving on Rt. 40 in Oklahoma, keep a lookout for a sign for the town of Hydro. Luckily, we pulled in about 1:20 for lunch (they close at 2:00). We went with burgers and fries, and honestly, both of us agreed they were among the best burgers we've ever eaten! Mine had pepper jack cheese and caramelized onions on a very high-quality bun, so delicious! The burger itself was perfectly grilled and all crispy around the edges; burger heaven. The fries were thin and perfectly fried. Our waitress was friendly and nice, and the dining room was clean. If we pass this way again, we'll be sure to stop by!

So here's the deal. I've been posting reviews on Yelp for almost 5yrs, and I can count on one hand the number of negative reviews I've written. It never happens! I love to eat, and I am easily impressed, so most everything I write tends to be an easy compliment. Sadly, tonight was the opposite experience. It was the single worst experience I've had! I offer my experience, solely as a warning to future customers, I have no interest nor reason to bash anyone.Four months ago, I decided to that I would host a large event on this weekend (12-14 April) and I reached out to the owner about having a dinner at Gloria's. He was very agreeable and we stayed in touch as the event approached. We showed up at the time he recommended. He said he would be preparing a couple specials that would highly suit a large group and keep the lines moving (BBQ and catfish). I ordered the bbq, and my wife ordered the catfish. My kids requested a kids burger and kids chicken strips. After 30 min, I went to check on my order since people after me were getting their food but we had not. One employee snapped at me, which truthfully shocked me enough that I went to sit down scratching my head, and waited a while longer. As it approached an hour from the time I ordered, I went back. At this point two different staff started arguing with me. One insisted my food was being worked but could offer no estimate of when it would be done. A second insisted I had ordered the "wrong food" and didn't even have an order for me any longer. Finally, the owner stepped in, as two employees were both yelling at me. The owner, who had been sitting there with his friends all along came to apologize for the staffs behavior. Amazingly, he did nothing to actually get my order finished, but only apologized repeatedly for their behavior. A few minutes later, I decided to just go request a refund and chalk this up to a bad choice of restaurant and a place that forgot what customer service meant. As much as it pains me to say it, my recommendation...steer clear of here. On a scale of 1-5, I'd give it a negative three (but the app makes me select at least a one). The owner has my number and I'm happy to discuss, if they feel I've misconstrued or exaggerated any of the events from my visit. Unacceptable!

My buddy and I decided to go on a motorcycle ride from Oklahoma City, and ended up in Hinton Oklahoma.. Yikes!!Our plan was to ride and actually head to Eischen's Bar, to check out there fried chicken.. By the time we got to Hinton it was getting late so I looked up spots to eat on Yelp and found this place..On to the review.. I will admit, we were both skeptical about this place! It didn't help that when we entered, it was only 1 other person eating.. YikesAfter looking at the menu I started feeling queasy at the options.. I decided on ordering one of the "local favorites" I got the fried catfish which came with fries and a side of pinto beans (lol)My buddy got the chicken fried steak, which came with mash potatoes, green beans, and a roll..main meal: Chicken fried steak, and catfish seemed to be made to order because it was a 10-15 min wait which was fine with me..When the food came out to my surprise, the food looked good! Came out pipping hot and what not..My buddy said the chicken fried steak was fresh, hot and had good flavor.. He also said that the mash potatoes tasted homemade, and that they were good as well..My catfish was seasoned nicely, and were nice size fillets (3)..The staff was very friendly, and checked on us.. The price was pretty good as well! I paid like $13.XX for the catfish meal and a drink..I took 2 bites of the pinto beans and moved them to the side... It wasn't that they were bad, but it just didn't fit the meal to me..I wouldn't drive all the way out here or recommend to anyone to go to this place, but for the area it was good.. Now if your in the area, sure stop in if your hungry..

Stayed in Hinton and read the reviews on Google. Very nice and clean establishment with a large variety menu. I had the 2 egg breakfast with bacon and it was sooooo good. Will most definitely be back when we visit Oklahoma again. Saw they had a Hot Link basket special.

Over the holiday weekend, my wife and I took a day trip to western Oklahoma. We visited Taloga, Seiling, Watonga, Geary, and Hinton. As with any trip I'm always looking for new places to eat. We originally wanted to eat in Seiling, but the place we found was drive-thru only (temporarily). Since it was a road trip I wanted to be able to dine in a restaurant. We then found a place in Watonga, but it wasn't open. After that, we figured we would head back towards I-40. Luckily we found Gloria's Kitchen in Hinton. It ended up being a great place to eat. At first, I was dead set on getting chicken fried steak (I will be going back for it!), but then my wife pointed out the Double G Burger (cheddar & pepper jack cheese, bacon, fried pickles, and A-1 sauce). I heard fried pickles and was sold. It comes with fries, but I swapped them out for the onion rings. My wife went with the catfish basket. I enjoyed my burger. (Pro tip add coleslaw) They have 6 of them on the menu. I'd like to try a few more. The onion rings were legit. Nice and thick with a tasty batter. My wife really liked here choice too. The fried catfish was excellent and so was the coleslaw. The standard french fries were delicious as well. Do you know what the best part of the whole experience was? If you purchase food there you get a free ice cream cone for dessert!!! We didn't try any of the other desserts, but they also have pies and cakes (not pictured). They even serve breakfast. If you're looking to get out of town for a few hours or your traveling on I-40 this is a great place to stop for a while and chow down. I'm already looking forward to going back.

Amazing experience. While there needs to be some patience on a Sunday, due to crowd at lunch, it was well worth the wait. Best pinto beans that I have ever had in my life!!!

It was extremely busy and quite a wait to order and then a wait to get food. The place was a shit show of church crowd people. Kids running around everywhere and even sticking their fingers in a cake on the dessert counter! A customer was even sticking his hands in the ice machine trying to break up the ice. Zero social distancing during the covid pandemic. Burgers were just ok. Onion rings and fries were good. Would not recommend eating inside when they are busy.

Great place for a meal around watonga/ el Reno. Try their fried catfish . Plus once again, the atmosphere is really family oriented and people do try to go above and beyond to make your experience one of the kind.
