I'm a semi retired guy who loves all kinds of music and all kinds of people. These guys get it. They are very nice and helpful. I'm going to go there whenever I can. Thank you for being so helpful. I'll recommend you to my friends whenever they need advice or anything.

We dropped off my practice bass at the store to have some nylon tapewounds installed. We were greeted immediately and worked with Scott Norris(who coincidentally is a bass player)and found him very helpful and knowledgeable. When I picked up the bass, not only did they do a great job, it looked brand new! They are VERY reasonable and the staff there are terrific. Great inventory, good looking store and very helpful. I was so happy with my experience here, that I ordered a Fender Steve Harris Signature Precision bass guitar. I paid the same price I would online, but that money stays here in my community. They offer lessons, band instruments and much more. I was thrilled they are an authorized Fender dealer. I'm proud to say this will be my "home dealer,"I'm not going anywhere else. (Note: Store offers masks, gloves and sanitizer in the breezeway before you enter the actual store. The staff also wear masks and gloves).

This is a substantial music shop next door to Hastings in the Normandy Creek Shopping Center. I went to find some sheet music for my guitar and ukulele and they have a really great selection of music for all instruments. The women that were working with the sheet music were so helpful and attentive and kind to a little beginner like me. I love when women work at music shops. I chose an easy guitar Taylor Swift book, an easy guitar Sarah McLachlan book, and then a book of the most requested ukulele songs. But there were all kinds of books. I didn't really look around a lot, but they sell guitars. The owner/guy at the register seemed a little less friendly, but maybe that's just me. And the books were only about $10 each which I was really impressed with. I'm sure it will take me forever to learn these songs, but if I ever am ready for more music, I would love to go back and build my music collection.

The guys at Gilliam have always been super nice with me and provide amazing services for the music community through their stores Gilliam, Edmond and Larsen Music. If you want a common part or accessory, they likely have it in stock and anything you need ordered they can get for you. I recently purchased a new drum set from them and they were super accommodating to make sure that I got the right finish and sizes from the manufacturer and their price was dead even with their national chain competition down the road. I wish they were open later, but overall this is a fantastic music store and I highly recommend them.

The dude cussed me out because I asked about guitar strings and then wouldn't buy it from the store. Flat out. It was unreal. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt but for him to say he didn't care. Unreal. Seriously, I wouldn't make this story up because I have some beef with them, I have much better things to do. I just don't want anyone dealing with this BS. The sad part was I had bought a piano from this store before and I regret ever being a customer. Do not recommend this place. All I wanted to ask for was musical advice from one musician to another about guitar strings.

Excellent music store and an asset to Norman. Great selection in a wide range of prices. High end stuff is accessible but hasn't been jammed on by every junior high EVH wannabe. Excellent guitar repair as well.

So, I walk into this place wanting to take a look at a looper and possibly buy it. So I go in there and I take a look at it and what do I see? I see that it says it's 199.99. On Amazon, Guitar Center and everywhere else had it at 179.99. Not just that, I talked to the guy at the desk and tried to see if he could make me a deal. After I tried to nicely talk to him he shuts me down and says I don't see how it's negotiable because we have it in store and they don't. That's when I just walked out. I've made deals at guitar center many times and they have no problem but at this place it's almost like they don't want your business. They don't ask you any questions about if you're looking for something, they don't even say hello when you walk in the door, they sit there and stare at their computer screen. The only reason they still are in business is because they sell and rent band instruments to school students. Also, if you want to buy anything they have nothing setup so you can try it out, they just sit there and make you feel awkward. After this experience I really think that I will Never go there ever again. I went in there trying to support a local business and instead I walk out hoping they go out of business
