If you're in the Norman area and are into hiking or the outdoors,Sutton Park is like a small paradise! You'd never think or know you were in Norman if you were blindfolded and dropped off here. Beautiful trails for exploring as well as regular walking, beautiful flowers and even a pond for fishing. I absolutely love this place and try to go at least once a month.It's a great place to get in exercise or just to take a walk and clear your head..... you know,if you're in to that kinda thing.(-;

We had a really nice walk at this park. Even in the midst of winter we engaged in bird watching and identifying animals that inhabit the area by the droppings we spotted. You can also bring your leashed puppy on the walk too - just clean up after them if need be! So nice to be out in nature!

Very nice trail for a 40 minute or so walk. Maintained well. There does tend to be sketchy people around sometimes so if you go alone as a woman maybe bring a pepper spray for emergencies.

This trail park is such a delight to use. My friend and I enjoy this trail in the center of Norman. It has a walking trail which completely goes around a lake. The scenery is very nice and you can include your fur baby too. I highly recommend for walking or running. Bring a friend and get that heart pumping!

This is one of my favorite parks in Oklahoma for walking my dogs. The scenery is absolutely stunning-- all year round. There are multiple different trails and all are well kept and beautiful. If you take specific trails they lead you to a dog park which is also very nice, and my pups love it. I would highly recommend this park.

What an excellent little urban trail. I'm guess it's just about a 2-2.5 mild loop. Lots of shady parts which made for a great run. Wonderful peek a boo views of ponds and you can finish up with your dog having a romp in the adjacent dog park. There was mostly loose gravel trails, some partial paved and then some asphalt that runs parallel to the soccer fields and dog park. I'm always on the lookout for urban trails in okc and this is top notch. It does look like there is some type of construction happening there, but it didn't interfere with my run.

Great urban wilderness place to go for a short hike. The loop around the small lake is about a mile. Great for small children just getting into hiking! Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed. The trail is paved part of the way and is gravel for the majority of the loop. There are nice information signs to educate you on the wildlife in the area.

This is a great trail for a quick hike. It's easy to forget it's next to the main road once you get into it!

They need to expand it, everybody is out there. You have people running, people on bikes, families with 2 to 6 people, people who just wanted a casual walk older and younger, some that fish all on the same path. We went during 2020 and it was packed. The parking lot is small. You might could park across the street, but that is a busy 4 lane hiway where the speed limit is 45 mph, and no crossing lights. It is a long path, so if you have little ones bring something for them to ride in. Stay on the path and out of the water because there are snakes out there. Be careful, It's still a wilderness.

This is probably my favorite place to fish and hike in Norman. The trails are very well kept. It's far enough away from the roads that you can completely immerse yourself in nature. It's the perfect place to take your pups for a walk, too.
