Gangnam Style Korean BBQ

Loved it! Was in Lawton for a quick minute and needed to grab a bite before I headed back to OKC. I was delighted to find this hidden gem of a restaurant. The decor wasn't anything fancy, but I wasn't there for the decor. I was there for the food! I ended up with the chicken bulgogi with vegetables. The sides were delish. The portion for the main dish was generous. I was sad to be heading home the next day, cuz I wouldn't be able to enjoy the leftovers.

You can never go wrong here. I enjoy their food. It's not just plain American food when you go in they're speaking their main language, which is not English. it's so laid-back and easy-going and their sweet people and they're not pushy and their food is really good.It's a darker Restaurant and my eyes bother me a lot so if I go to sit down in a restaurant, I like these type of restaurants I've had their soup I've had theirmandu, noodles and Bulgogi and I noticed today I don't know how I've ever missed it. I don't get to eat there much cause I'm in the minority in my family about the food. What I like they have vegetable chicken Bulgogi and I said oh that's just my eye I like the Gogi, but I don't like that it does not have vegetables.And this one does so I just had to try it and one thing I like is that we can order it there and bring it home and eat they're really easy to get bring home. Probably the best Asian food I've tried so far in Lawton. The service was fast and friendly. Ambiance was nice and clean. I had the beef spicy bowl, karaage chicken and spicy salmon roll. Everything was delicious except the beef rib. It didn't have much flavor but the ramen and broth was delicious. The karaage fried chicken is a definite must try. The roll was ok but I would get it again. Definitely recommend!

So I will begin this review by stating that I have lived in Korea for many years. I have had the opportunity to eat many different types of Korean dishes. I also took cooking classes while I lived there, and I do have the ability to cook as 'authentically' as I can thanks to many wonderful women who took the time to teach me. So, for our first visit to this restaurant I will say that I don't know what it was, but there was a taste that permeated a few of the items we tasted, particularly in the cucumbers and the kimbap, I don't know what it was but it was some thing that was not typical. We had two orders of spicy pork and we felt like it tasted okay. There were several portions of pork that were just fat, without any meat, but I just pushed those aside. Other party members ordered beef Bulgogi. I will say that the beef was extremely dry, and there was so much smoke flavor -maybe it was the way they cooked it to imitate actually cooking it BBQ style at the table - but it almost tasted like there was an abundance of smoke flavoring in it and with it being so dry we had trouble eating it.As for our servers, they were very nice. However, they only gave us one set of panchan for four of us to share, which is fine, but they didn't come back to refresh them. The kimchi & the shredded radish were okay so I think others may have wanted more. The restaurant was simple and it's decor, nothing extravagant. I do not know if this may have been an off night for them as far as the bulgogi concerned so we may consider giving this place another try at a later time.

For the town of Lawton I'm so happy there's a place like this here. The restaurant itself is nice; looks fairly new. The service was decent; especially for being the only waitress for the whole place. Menu had a very nice selection of Korean food items. Love that they have a fridge by the register that has Banchan for sale. The kimbab was tasty; different spin on it with the smoked meat; but still good! The Seolleongtang was amazing and the Jajangmyeon was tasty as well. Price point to portion size is excellent. Happy to see a Korean restaurant thriving in Lawton.

Korean restaurant hidden on a commercial plaza. We ordered the ff:Jajangmen (sorry can't spell it right) - very very good. Good size portion with lots of onions, meat and shrimp. Very tasty and good chewy noodlesGalbi - tender flavorful beef ribs came with lots of sides and riceKimchi rice - a bit spicy, good amoubt of kmchi and beef in it. Very good! Service was good.

Gave them one star because the cucumbers they give you in a small bowl are good. That is the only good thing I can say about the food and service. We had the beef and chicken bulgogi. The meat was insanely dry, especially the beef. We also got the roll appetizer, would also encourage you to save the $9. Two entrees, an appetizer and water to drink for $40 isn't a crazy price, just wish the food was good. If you are also looking for a waitress to get your drink refills or even your food order without having to ask, you should probably look at another establishment.

Only reason I would come back to Lawton would be doe this place. I got the tofu soup and some bon chon some of the best I've had

The staff was fun and friendly and extremely helpful! My first time going, I was amazed by how welcoming everyone was when our group went. The food was delicious, so far the best Korean restaurant I've had while living here. The place was nice and clean, very organized and the decor was simple but artistically appealing. I recommend this place for anyone wanting Korean Bbq!

Pros: Who would have thought that the best samgypsal I've ever had would be at this unassuming restaurant in Lawton, OK? The kimbap was delicious. Good meat. Everyone else's meal looked great. Galbi, bulgogi, and soybean paste soup. Accepts credit cards. Parking lot with plenty of parking. Cons: Service was typical Korean service. Kbbq was not AYCE.
