I really, really, really wish I could find a salon that I loved in Stillwater. When I moved to Stillwater, I decided to find a place and stick with it, and decided that it would just grown on me over time. I found a great hairstylist/colorist who worked here but, sadly, who has moved to a different city with her family. Her replacement is not very friendly and not as skilled. However, I realize I'm not just rating my hairstylist; I'm reviewing the salon overall. The interior is cute and makes me think of the movie "Steel Magnolias" every time I go there. But, it's also kind of dim inside. When picking a haircolor, I would look at swatches and would have to go to a sunny window to see differences between shades clearly enough for me to decide between them. It's also not dirty, but also not the cleanest salon I've ever been in. It's just a bit dusty. The last straw (and the reason I won't go back) is that the service has just sucked the past three times I've been there. The last time I got my hair colored, the girl wasn't friendly (You may wonder why I kept going back; I thought she just had some bad days!) and didn't make much of an effort to ensure I was comfortable. She was kind of rough with my scalp (I'm never usually sensitive, but she pulled at my hair quite a lot and my scalp did get sore with the tugging), and didn't set a timer when she finished applying color. She walked away and I read TWO ENTIRE magazines (on my iPad, the selection available was old, as in, I had already read the issues on my last visits). As I neared the end of second magazine, I realized there was no timer set, looked around, and didn't see anyone. The dye was on my head for more than 50 minutes before she rinsed it out. (And, when she returned, she smelled like cigs.) I've heard good things about the owner, and she seems nice. But, after going there for 2 or so years, I don't feel comfortable to keep paying $80-100 for a service whose process I don't enjoy much.

Worst and most unprofessional salon I've ever been to in my life. I got a massage, they were running a special. The message therapist made me so uncomfortable I had to ask him to stop. He made some comments that were awkward and inappropriate. He was also late to the appointment to begin with. I left early and was horrified and they still charged me full price for one of the worst experiences of my life. After consulting with a friend whos mother is a message therapist. She suggested I call the salon to share my experience with the owner... The owner did not return my call, the girl answering the phone was extremely rude and argued with me. No one resolved the issue. But the guy that did the massage saw my note to speak with the owner and he gets my number and calls me from his personal phone and ask me to tell him what happened? Awkward again! Not sure what the hair services are like but if it is anything like she runs her overall business, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I care about.

I had a very nice experience getting a haircut from Garrett. He's obviously new but enthusiastic and capable, listened to all my requests, and was super friendly and chatty and fun to talk to throughout the experience. The owner also seemed very nice, her daughter was visiting, and all the people working there seem to have a great rapport. The inside of the salon is cute. It felt like a very homey, friendly, down-to-earth environment -- not stressful like some fancy salons where I feel *I'm* expected to get dressed up and be "elite" enough to impress the too-cool stylists. I would definitely go back to Fringe.

First of all, I've been getting my hair colored for over 10 years. My hair is 2 shades lighter than my natural color (Med. Brown) Normally my roots get treated, then an overall color. My experience was horrible, staff lacks knowledge in hair coloring techniques. I was given too many excuses of why it didn't turn out right. I was weary in accepting their offer to go back a 3rd time to get it fixed. Could only part my hair on the right because the roots on the left were missed. Beyond ridiculous - left with several levels of horizontal highlights (think brown bombpop) I was very clear that I didn't want anything that resembles the color ORANGE!!!(go pokes!) I left with my forehead and ears stained, yet color never made it to parts of my hair. AND on the drive home I had a warm feeling on the back of my scalp. I did not suffer any chemical burns- I felt horrible, the girl was so nice- but did not know what she was doing and relied on the two senior staff members (who instructed her when mixing the color and picked through my hair to see the missed roots) That's why I rated the entire salon 1 star. *this is just my coloring experience, not style and cut*

I just happened to drive by and see their sign advertising walk-ins on my way to get my brows done at Ulta. The salon was very clean and felt very warm and welcoming. Vicki, the owner, was incredibly nice and helpful. I had amazing, clean eyebrows in under 10 minutes for only $12. I will now be making Fringe my go to for waxings in the future and will for sure be telling all my friends!

I should have been the one who was paid for the hour I spent at this salon! The owner cut my hair and spent the whole time griping about her personal life - I had never met her before and she was so passionate in telling me her life story, it was as if the events described had just happened and I was somehow involved - or she forgot that I was a client and not her therapist - so much anger! She never checked to make sure that front layers were straight and even, etc. She asked at the beginning what I wanted - started cutting and talking and then I left!
