I had used these guys for batteries in the past and was satisfied with their service. Today however was a different experience. Was quoted $50 for an oil change of I brought my own filters and oil. When I went to pay out it was $187. I was told that I was being charged an extra hour labor for changing my fuel filters. It takes MAYBE ten minutes to change those filters. I usually do all this myself in my driveway and it takes me less than an hour. These guys had my truck up on a lift for over an hour and a half. In that time, nobody ever mentioned to me that an extra ten minutes worth of work was going to more than TRIPLE THE PRICE I WAS QUOTED. If they had I would have told them not to do it. Poor, slow service, blatant and unapologetic price gouging, and the clerk that I was voicing my concerns to continually interrupted me. Very unprofessional and sour. Service manager wouldn't even come to the phone, guess he doesn't have the stones to be called out on their dishonesty. I understand that everyone has to make money, but this is just outright thievery. In regards to their reply: .6 hours + .7 hours is 1.3 hours, not 1.5. Learn to do basic math. Also just because you can charge 42 minute and 36 minutes "by the book" doesn't mean you should. Skinning repeat customers for every dime possible doesn't keep them coming back. Those filters take less than 10 minutes to change. Hiding behind book rates is the crutch of a hack mechanic shop. What y'all did, though technically correct, was dishonest and shady. I'll not be returning and I will continue to caution everyone to refrain from doing business with you.I have no problem paying for services rendered, and I did pay my bill. What I'm pissed about is being charged well over an hour's labor for a task that takes well under a half an hour to complete. It is dishonest to charge more hours than you work. I also did not care for the way I was treated when I called to voice my concerns. The woman that works up front has zero customer service skills and needs to be a little less abrasive.

I appreciate your response, however, my issue isnt with the price to repair a flat tire. The problem I have is purchasing a tire from your business with a road hazard warranty and not being able to get the tire fixed under the warranty. Typically, how these warranties work is they will come into play when you get a flat tire. If the tire can be repaired, the repair is covered for the duration of the warranty. If the tire can't be repaired, then the company will replace it or prorate the mileage towards the purchase of a new tire.

Bought new tires there over 1200.00 dollars.had road hazard so took in to prorate so replaced that tire couldn't be fixed 160.00 .And had leak in one they charged me 20.00 dollars to fix the leak . Most places you buy new tires they fixed flats free. I know Hibdon plus does.so next time I will give my business to Hibdons on Harrison.gave Fred's to many chances.

Do not use these scam artist fake mechanics! I had my 2018 Ram 1500 taken in for an oil change and alignment check which I just had done last year with Firestone but just wanted the check done. They said they couldn't do alignment due to loose tie rod inner and outer and blown strut. They wanted to try and charge 1146 for work to be done. I said no I'll fix the stuff myself. so they sent my truck back with my steering wheel all the way turned to the side just to drive down the road. And alot of service electronic brakes and trailer brake light code kicking. I have a photo of driving down the road with what my steering wheel looks like after they done the crap job. The only reason my truck came home like that is because my fiancée didnt notice it. I will never use Fred's again. They are trying to get over on people if they can. They should have respectfully put the alignment back decent and said that it can't be guaranted because of loose tie rods and bad strut. Which I checked it they were not in bad enough shape to say it couldn't be done. I had to do the alignment myself which is good. I'm pretty sure they did that to ruin my tires so I'd have to pay more money for the tires to be replaced. Just don't use them find an honest company to business with. It's not them

Once again disappointed by this business. We have taken multiple vehicles here and almost every time we have to either take our vehicle somewhere else or go inside and raise hell to get our vehicles looked at. Today we brought our vehicle in around 7:45 for an alignment and where told that they would have three team members here by 8 that could get it done for us. We drove back up here at 11:30 to check on our truck because he hasn't heard anything and it was sitting in the same spot, untouched. Waited until 12 to go inside and ask about our vehicle and they somehow lost our keys!! After 20 minutes they magically found our keys and were able to get us right in.

If I could give 0 stars I would... We drive from Wichita to come here & been here since 7:30 it's currently 11:20 & we still haven't had our truck in for service...all of the other people that were also here for service when it was opening time left in less than 2 hours. This is bs for all i gotta say. Will not be coming for this type of service again. We were 5th place in line when doors opened & none of them had alignment service so i'm guessing we should've been helped asap. hours passed by & people kept coming in & they were out in less than in hour how's that possible ?? Lady with glasses said "there's a person ahead of you" HOWWW? we've been here since 7:30 ma'am no one had alignment service.

Website is inaccurate on services provided Been a loyal customer for the last 4 yrs . Never needed to make a appointment, staff always answered my questions straight forward and honest. I'm guessing this week was just a bad week or complacencies set in. Scheduled a appointment to the Shawnee Fred's on Harrison for a brake change 4 days prior via the websites appointment portal . Arrived was told the brake guy was off . No big deal , A little miffed that that didn't call me . Scheduled a time for the next day at the service desk for 9am the next day .and online . Showed up the next day only to be told they don't do scheduling and they will not be having their brake guy working on brakes that day , he will only be doing tire changes and alignments. Ended up taking my business to Hibdons plus loosing my trust in Fred's.

I, and my parents and grandparents before me, have been using Fred's for over 30 years and used to get good service but that's come to an end now.Bought a set of tires there last quarter, and found I had a flat two days ago. When I went to pump it up, the stem valve snapped off in my hand. I changed it out for my spare and headed to Fred's and explained the situation, and the gent agreed that fixing a stem valve would be a warranty issue.Took them twice as long as they promised, making me late for work, then came the bill. When I pointed out it was a warranty issue first the guy at the counter tried to weasel out of it by telling me it was a sensor issue, so I showed him the snapped off stem valve and asked how the sensor did that. Then he changed his story and told me I'd broken the stem valve myself so no warranty. Apparently I developed superpowers yesterday and non-defective tires can now be damaged by me poking them with my fingers. Pathetic.
