We had Fred's cater for our annual Cub Scout dinner on 3/4/2016.The mashed potatoes, green beans and Mac&Cheese were great. The ham and turkey however was absolutely horrible. Not a single person liked the meats. The primary issue was that it had a very noticeable chemical flavor.I imagine they tried to add some smoke flavor and used lighter fluid to start whatever they were trying to burn like wood or charcoal. Or it was a smoke-flavored product they tried to rub on the meat. Whatever the method, the end result was absolutely inedible. People went back for seconds on potatoes and vegies but no one took more meat. Polling 20 to 30 adults, the feedback was unanimous. The meat was ruined, rancid and repulsive. Sorry for the harsh words but this was the worst experience we've ever had with catering. Perhaps they should stick to weddings and higher fare foods. I would not recommend any ham or turkey if you do decide to use them. Or at least tell them to leave the fake smoke flavoring off

Been around since 1981. Best traditional method of hickory wood smoked turkey, ham , chicken or juicy briskest! Made with real tomato BBQ sauces! Italian chicken breast with mushroom and the baked beans and real hand made from Idaho potato salad, simply the best catering services for all occasions. Friendly owner and great crews for timely delivery.

Outstanding service! Friendly, timely, and well packaged delivery of hot foods. Quality of food was however EXTREMELY disappointing. The "carved turkey" was a processed turkey (spongy and gelatinous-looked like spam but not spreadable) that was so laden with smoke flavor it was inedible. Almost every guest left their turkey portion uneaten on the plates and the majority of the meat was leftover and thrown out. What a waste. The macaroni & cheese was very bland- elbow noodles with a thin/runny white cheddar flavored (powdered mix likely) sauce. The green beans were normal canned green beans, and the bread was simply loaves of white sliced bread (sandwich type) with butter. Some of the worst food for money I've tasted. It was cheap at $7.50 per person, but I still feel like with the quality of food it was actually overpriced.

Fred's Catering provides meals for our church, but the food is not very good. The pot roast and stew was greasy and full of fat. Wish you would be replaced.
