PLEASE READ BEFORE CHOOSING THIS GYM: I've been going to Four Star since April 2021. And while I've never been overly impressed with the facility, I decided to go there because it was smaller and is decently priced. After going to the Edmond location for a while during the evenings I notice some people bringing in other guests with them. Sometimes groups as large as 4 people with only one person "signing in" for all of them. Me being aware of the policy of not being able to bring guests(even though this is a basic inclusion in any gym membership at any establishment.) I found this to be odd, but I figured maybe this gym was lenient on this rule. Flash forward to January 2022, and I decided to start bringing my roommate just so he could try out the gym and see if he liked it before he purchased a membership. I'd brought him several times at this point and last night out of the blue at 9pm well passed usual staffed hours an "employee" if you could call him that?(very short, red mop cut hair.) decided to approach my roommate (not me who pays for the membership) very aggressively and told him he needed to pay for a membership, a day pass or he needed to leave.(great customer service tactic). I understand why of course because it is against policy and he was not supposed to be there by why approach him first when you clearly saw me bring him in? He's simply a guest and was not familiar with the policy. But ultimately he chose to put him on the spot probably because he's newer to the gym. My roommate was embarrassed and confused after being approached so aggressively and ultimately just left to go sit in his car. I decided to finish up my workout and leave, but before I can finish I'm now being approached by the same "employee" (who also works out on the clock?) Aggressively again to tell me not to sneak him in again or he was gonna revoke my 24/7 access which I was already aware of after interrupting my workout twice now I just decided to see how much time I have left at this gym because I literally never wanna come again after this. As that's happening the "employee" watches another customer (who he knew because the customer addressed him by his name walking in.) who also has a guest with him who doesn't sign in.... And he says absolutely nothing, just let's them walk right in. So I guess the rules only apply to people if you don't know someone that works at this gym A very professional establishment y'all are running here. My membership ends in May(this didn't matter anyway, they continue to try charge you even when their contract with them is up...) PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS GYM YOUR TIME OR MONEY. LITERALLY GO ANYWHERE ELSE. "amenities" at the Edmond location include: *Sauna that's fits 2 people they bought at academy or dicks sporting goods *A dusty tanning room and bed that barely tans you even when you stand in there for 10 minutes *Lockers and showers but no locker room? * Rude employees *Smells like a foot.

I've been training with Jordan Turner since April of 2024 and have gotten incredible results that keep me coming back every week. Today, the normal sound system was broken and the radio was on. The normal yelling, cursing, " music" is hard the listen to but today the radio made for such an enjoyable ambiance! Will you please consider keeping the radio or stop playing the heaving metal / rap?

Trainers block machines instead of letting you finish your set. They set their drinks. Bags. Blocking equipment instead of letting you work in a set which takes about 30 seconds. It is on key and important machines. They are rude and discourteous. I am surprised anyone works out at this location. There are 2 or 3 that are particularly rude about blocking equipment for up to as long as 30 to 45 minutes. I would go complain, but instead i would suggest not getting one and or cancelling your membership.

Surprised this gym is rated as highly as it is. the location at north may is basically unusable. this is coming from someone who has the luxury to go at peak unemployment hours. forget trying to go before work hours (7-9) or from 10-12 or from 4-7 bc the gym wont even be packed but still unusable. ive had "trainers" come in with their client and walk across the entire gym to bump me off equipment bc "its her last set"... on an empty machine. not a good gym to go to if you dont want to end up in the background of some instagram fitness influencer content either. the personal trainers have at minimum 3 people (usually closer to 5-6) that they are training at a time and theres usually like 3-4 trainers in the gym at one time. the leg room has like 1 of each machine or station so youre up against like 12 people circuiting through each station. theres no using an alternative or trying to work in bc theres at least 2 people using each machine or station. they dont work in with each other and instead will set up stations and circuit through. so that means every squat rack or bench or even the walkways will be taken up indefinitely. i wish i had taken more photos to properly capture how even if the group isnt on a machine- its impossible to rly tell if its in use or not with 5 or so people floating all around it or how nearly every machine near the group looks like that anyway. no one seems to care and the trainers are all friendly with each other so if they dont have a mob of 12 deep they will take their time chatting it up with one another. ive also had to complain once about a time when i had to leave the gym basically in tears bc the three(!!) staff members all approached me at once to correct me and one even reprimanded me and claimed i broke the entire cable machine (untrue). the "apology" i received was to "listen to the trainers".

I am a Chiropractic Physician and have my Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology. I have been weight training for over 50 years. Four Star Fitness is without a doubt the best gym I have ever been to. The owners have spared no expense in filling the gym with the very best equipment. It is immaculately clean, and the staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.

I've been going to this gym for a year and a half. I've never personally had any issues with staff or other gym goers and they are always very welcoming or conversational. The equipment is also kept in good shape. I always have a good workout there and would definitely recommend for individuals wanting a real gym feel
